Uses
indications
Moloxcin drug indicated in the following cases:
moxifloxacin has better printing effects than ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin and ofloxacin on streptococcus pneumoniae (including penicillin -resistant strains) and is relatively effective for gram -negative bacteria and non -typical bacteria (chlamydia pnumoniae, mycoMoniae Legionella spp.).
moxifloxacin works both in vitro and clinically with most staphylococcus aureus (methicilin sensitive strains), streptococcus pyogenes, haemophilus influenzae, H. parainfluenzae, klebsiella pneumoniae, morexella cacinhdis, chlamydiadiadiadia Pneumoniae and Mycoplasma Pneumoniae.
Moxifloxacin resistant bacteria: In vitro, anti -drug bacteria grow slowly through many mutant steps. There has been a cross -resistance between moxifloxacin and other fluoroquinolones for gram -negative bacteria. However, other gram -positive bacteria with other fluoroquinolones may still be sensitive to moxifloxacin.
Pharmacokinetics
absorption
moxifloxacin is quickly absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract, absolute bioavailability is 90%. Eating does not affect absorption.
Distribution
moxifloxacin is widely distributed throughout the body, both in saliva, secretion of bronchial nose, sinus mucosa, fluid in the skin, subcutaneous and skeletal muscles after drinking 400 mg, the concentration in tissue is usually superior to plasma concentrations.

Common, ADR> 1/100
Uncommon, 1/1000 Liver: Increased amylase, lactat dehydrogenase. Rare, ADR musculoskeletal joints: Achille tendon and other tendons. Instructions on how to handle ADR Need to stop moxifloxacin immediately when: There is any sign of hypersensitivity reactions; There are signs of unwanted effect on the nerves (such as convulsions, depression, confusion, hallucinations, trembling, ...); Pain, inflammation or sprain. Manifestations of digestive disorders such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, taste disorders are often mild without treatment intervention. If there are signs of fake colitis, it is necessary to monitor the degree of diarrhea, if severe must be treated with other antibiotics appropriately. Contraindicated
Moloxcin drug contraindicated in the following cases:
Caution when used
The reactions are harmful to the ability to not recover and cause disabilities, including: tendonitis, tendon, peripheral neuropathy and other adverse effects on the central nervous system (hallucinations, anxiety, depression, insomnia, severe headache and confusion). These reactions can occur within hours until several weeks after using the drug.
Patients at any age, with or without risk factors may experience these reactions. Stop taking the drug as soon as there are signs or first symptoms of any serious harmful reactions. Avoid using Fluoroquinolon antibiotics for patients who have had the above side effects.
Because moxifloxacin can cause prolonged QT about the electrocardiogram, it is necessary to be cautious when using moxifloxacin along with drugs such as cisapril, erythromycin, 3 -round antidepressants, anti -psychotic drugs.
Be cautious when using moxifloxacin in patients with arrhythmia such as slow rhythm and acute myocardial ischemia; People with central neuropathy such as severe brain arteriosclerosis, epilepsy.
Fluoroquinolon, including moxifloxacin, is associated with increased risk of tendonitis and ligament hernia in all age groups. This risk is increasing in the elderly (usually people over 60 years old), patients are using Corticosteroids simultaneously, and kidney, heart, or lung transplant.
Other factors may increase the risk of ligament hernia, including physical exertion, kidney failure, previous tendon disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis. Tenditis and ligament hernia have been reported in patients using fluoroquinolon without any of the above risk factors.
Ribbed and ligament hernia is caused by fluoroquinolon, which is often associated with heel tendon and may need surgery for treatment. Tenditis and ligament hernia in the shoulders, hands, biceps, thumb, and other tendons have also been reported.
Ligament hernia can occur during or after Fluoroquinolon treatment and have been reported to last up to several months after the end of treatment.
Advise patients to rest and stop exercising, and contact the doctor when the first sign of tendonitis or ligament hernia (such as pain, swelling, inflammation or ligament or weak or unable to use one joint). Stop drinking moxifloxacin if the pain, swelling, inflammation, ligament hernia appears.
The ability to drive and operate machinery
Caution when driving and operating machinery.
Pregnancy
Do not use moxifloxacin for pregnant women.
Breastfeeding period

antacids, preparations containing iron, multivitamine containing zinc, sucralfate, ... can reduce the absorption of moxifloxacin, so drink at least before 4 hours or after 8 hours.
When used with warfarin, moxifloxacin increases anticoagulant effects.
Increased risk of central nerve stimulation and convulsions when used simultaneously with nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs.
Response to the effect of prolonged QT interval.
