Momate ointment - S are indicated in the following cases:

Treatment of psoriasis psoriasis. Corticosteroids have a very diverse mechanism of action including anti -inflammatory effects, immunosuppressive, anti -regeneration. Anti -inflammatory effects are the result of reducing the formation, secretion and activity of inflammatory intermediaries (such as kinin, histamine, liposom enzymes, prostaglandin, leukotrien), thus reducing the initial manifestations of the inflammatory process. Corticosteroid inhibits the movement of cells to the damaged area, restores the dilated vessels and increases the permeability in the area, reducing the access to cells into the damaged area. Vascular contractions reduce serum, swelling and discomfort.

The immunosuppressive effect reduces response to instant and slow sensitivity reactions (Type and II II III reactions). The result is due to the inhibition of toxic effects from antigen and antibodies formed in the vascular walls that cause vasculitis subcutaneously due to allergies, and the inhibition of the effects of lympholin, target cells and macrophages, the same agents that cause contact dermatitis reactions. In addition, the approach of sensitive le leukocytes and macrophages to target cells can also be prevented by corticosteroids. The anti -regeneration effect of the drug reduces the increase in tissue of psoriasis.

Elimination

How to use

Momate - S is used topical.

Dosage

Adults

Treatment of psoriasis psoriasis with 0.1% Mometasone Furoate 0.1%/Salicylic acid is applied to the damaged area twice a day for 3 weeks. The longer treatment time has not been studied.

Pediatric patients

There is no clinical information or safety documents and effectiveness of Mometasone combination - Salicylate in children.

There has been no good control of 0.1% Mometasone ointment for children under 2 years old. Mometasone fat treatment for patients in this age group has not been recommended. Salicylic acid 5% contraindicated for children under 2 years old. Therefore, do not use Momate - S for children under 2 years old, and should be used carefully for children from 2 to 12 years old because children are more sensitive to body absorption and poisoning.

What to do when overdose?

Symptoms

Local corticosteroids for too long time can inhibit the pituitary-renal function, which causes secondary adrenal implants. Symptoms of salicylic acid poisoning include tinnitus, nausea and dizziness.

Treatment

In case of overdose must apply appropriate symptomatic treatment. Symptoms of acute corticosteroid overdose can recover. Need to treat electrolyte imbalance. In case of chronic poisoning, corticosteroids should be stopped gradually.

In an emergency, call the 115 emergency center immediately or go to the nearest local health station.

Side Effects

When using Momate ointment - S , you may experience unwanted effects (ADR).

Like other skin corticosteroids, the drug can cause local topical reactions such as burning, itching, irritation, dry skin, folliculitis, hair, acne -style acne, skin pigmentation, allergic dermatitis due to contact, stretch marks, skin atrophy ... Secondary adrenal implants and other undesirable effects (see caution).

The most common adverse reactions in patients with scales should be used for 0.1%mometasone/Salicylic acid 5%are topical reactions such as burning, irritation, itching and skin atrophy (the total adverse effect is 10 - 20%). Most of them are from light to medium. Some patients have to stop treatment due to local reaction.

The most serious complication is that skin atrophy is seen in 4% of patients taking 3 -week drugs in 1 study. This ratio is larger than using Mometasone alone (0.7%) so it should not be used for a long combination.

Contraindicated

Momate ointment - S Contraindications in the following cases:

Precautions when used

The drug is only used on the skin. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth. Do not apply medicine to the mucosa.

Be cautious when used for high -dose salicylate patients such as arthritis (because salicylic acid is absorbed from ointment).

The drug can cause axial inhibition - pituitary - adrenal gland, Cushing syndrome, hyperglycemia and urinary glucose, especially for patients with liver failure.

Not used with:
