dexibuprofen is the right rotating isomer (s (+)-ibuprofen) with pharmacological activity of ibuprofen racemic (is the equal mixture of 2 isomers R (-) and S (+)-ibuprofen). Dexibuprofen has a stronger pharmacological effect than ibuprofen. Dexibuprofen is used to relieve pain and anti -inflammatory level from mild to moderate.

Like other nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs, dexibuprofen has analgesic, fever and anti -inflammatory effect. The mechanism of action of the drug is Prostaglandin Synthetase inhibitors, thus preventing prostaglandin, thromboxane and other products of cyclooxygenase. Dexibuprofen also inhibits prostaglandin synthesis in the kidneys, which can cause the risk of water stasis due to reducing blood flow to the kidneys.

Need to pay attention to this for patients with kidney failure, heart failure, liver failure and disorders with plasma volume disorders. The anti -inflammatory effect of Dexibuprofen appears after 2 days of treatment. Dexibuprofen has a stronger antipyretic effect than aspirin, but inferior to indomethacin. The drug has good anti -inflammatory effects and has good analgesic effect in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.

    pharmacokinetic

    absorption

Dexibuprofen absorbs mainly in the small intestine. The maximum concentration of the drug in plasma is achieved after 1–2 hours. Take the medicine and food that slowly reach the maximum concentration (2.1 hours after taking the drug at a hunger and 2.8 hours after drinking, the drug is full) and reduces the maximum concentration in plasma from 20.6 μg to 18.1 μg but does not affect the total amount of drugs absorbed.

    Distribution

The drug is highly attached to plasma proteins (about 99%).

    Metabolism - except for

After the metabolism in the liver, the metabolites are not fully eliminated, mainly through the kidneys (90%), and partly through the bile. The waste sale time of dexibuprofen is 1.8–3.5 hours. Dexibuprofen eliminates very quickly through the urine (1% in constant form, 14% in the form of combined).

Need close monitoring, especially gastrointestinal bleeding.

Be cautious when using Dexibuprofen for the elderly because this age tends to suffer from unwanted effects with non -steroid anti -inflammatory drugs higher than young people.

The ability to drive and operate machinery

The drug can cause dizziness and fatigue, so be careful when doing jobs that require alertness like driving or operating machine.

    Pregnancy

Anti -inflammatory drugs that can inhibit uterine contractions and slow down. Non -steroid anti -inflammatory drugs may also increase severe lung pressure and severe respiratory failure in infants due to early closing of the ductus arterioscleria. These drugs also inhibit platelet function, increasing the risk of bleeding.

After taking nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs, there is also a risk of less amniotic fluid and anuria in babies. In the last 3 months of pregnancy, it must be very limited to use for any anti -inflammatory drugs. These drugs also have absolute contraindications in a few days before birth.

methotrexate at a dose of 15 mg/week or more: Dexibuprofen increases the toxicity of methotrexate. Therefore, patients who are being treated with high doses of methotrexate must not use Dexibuprofen.

For other nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs: increased the risk of bleeding and ulcers.

Lithium: Non -steroid anti -inflammatory drugs may increase lithium concentration in plasma because of reducing lithium clearance in the kidney, thus avoiding these two drugs simultaneously. If the treatment is simultaneously inevitable, it is necessary to periodically check the lithium concentration, if the lithium dose is needed.

    Storage
