Uses

indications

Nautamine drugs are indicated in the following cases: Prevention and treatment of motion sickness in adults and children over 2 years old.

Pharmacokology

diphendramine is an antihistamine H1, the first generation belonging to the output group ethanolamine . Diphenhydramine competes with histamine in the H1 receptor and therefore, prevents the effects of histamine , the agent causing specific allergens in the respiratory tract (cough), nose (nose, runny nose), skin (erythema, itching).

diphenhydramine has a significant sedative effect (causing sleep) and strong cholinergic resistance. Diphenhydramine is used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, dizziness due to motion sickness, this effect is partly due to the anti -cholinergic properties and inhibit the central nervous system of the drug.

pharmacokinetics

absorption:

diphenhydramine is well absorbed after drinking. Born when drinking is 61 ± 25%. The time to reach the peak concentration is 1–4 hours after taking a single dose. The effect of the drug is 4–6 hours.

Distribution:

Diphenhydramine is widely distributed to organs, tissues of the body, including the central nervous system. Diphenhydramine passes the placenta and gets into breast milk. The ratio of cohesion to plasma protein 78 ± 3%. The ratio of cohesion with protein is less than in people with cirrhosis and Asians (compared to white people).

Metabolism and elimination:

Diphenhydramine is metabolized mainly in the liver, and is excreted mainly through urine in the form of metabolites. A very small amount (about 1.9 ± 0.8%) of the drug in the form of constant excretion through urine. In healthy people, the sale time is 8.5 ± 3.2 hours. Prolonged sale time in people with cirrhosis.

    Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist.What to do when overdose? Only vomiting when poisoning occurs; Can use activated carbon. In the case of convulsions, Diazepam is required. When there is symptom of severe cholinergic resistance on the central nervous system, stimulation, the illusion can use physostigmine. It is necessary to consider and treat respiratory support - Complete if needed.

    What to do when you forget a dose? However, if close to the next dose, skip the forgotten dose and take the next dose at the time as planned. Note that it should not be used double the prescribed dose.

    Warnings

    Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.

    Contraindications:

    Nautamine drugs contraindicated in the following cases:

  • Hypersensitivity to any ingredients of the drug;
  • Children under 2 years of age due to inappropriate drugs;
  • Allergies to antihistamine;

    acute asthma (asthma);

  • Glaomoma (glaucoma);
  • difficulty due to prostate pathology or other causes;
  • Myasthenia gravis;

  • are taking Monoamine Oxidase inhibitors;
  • generally should not use nautamine during breastfeeding or being treated with enoxacin, except for a doctor's prescription.

    Be cautious when using

    A warning is needed to occur due to the dosage form of the drug when used for children under 6 years old. In the case of liver or kidney disease for a long time, the dose adjustments need to be adjusted.

    Be cautious when used for the elderly because it is sensitive to side effects and drugs that can cause:

  • Chronic constipation, dizziness or sleep;
  • Urinary retention on people with prostate disease;

  • Increase the likelihood of posture hypotension.
  • Use cautiously in patients with stomach ulcers - narrowing, pyloric stenosis, obstruction of the bladder neck.

    The drug can cause dizziness, especially when used with alcohol. Do not drink alcohol or use alcoholic medications/drinks during medication.

    The risk of drug addiction and dependence on low drugs. However, there are cases where drug addiction and dependence on teenagers and teenagers use drugs for entertainment purposes and/or in patients with psychosis or a history of drug addiction and/or dependence on drugs. Patients should carefully monitor the signs or symptoms suggesting diphendramine addiction.

    The ability to drive and operate machinery

    Note drivers because of the risk of drowsiness, reducing alertness when using this drug.

    Pregnancy

    in the first 3 months of pregnancy: There is no monster effect in humans. An analysis on a large number of pregnant women exposed to not detect any special impact that causes teratogenic or fetal toxicity.

    3 months between and the last 3 months of pregnancy: In newborn babies with long -term treatment with high doses of antiholinergic antiholinergic anti -histamine, it is very rare to report digestive disorders such as abdominal distention, stool obstruction, slow elimination of feces, reducing milk secretion when breastfeeding, tachycardia, neurological disorders. At the end of pregnancy, excessive use of antihistamine drugs can affect babies in digestion and nerves.

    Nautamine is not a chosen antihistamine to treat allergic rhinitis or nausea in pregnant women. Therefore, only for pregnant women when really necessary.

    The period of breastfeeding

    Breastfeeding, although small, diphenhydramine has a significant sedative effect, so do not use nautamine during breastfeeding.

    Drug interaction

    should not be coordinated:

  • Alcohol: Alcohol can significantly increase the sedative effects of antihistamine H1, Diphenhydramine. Therefore, Nautamine should not be used in combination with drugs containing this substance to ensure no maximum overdose. Reducing alertness can be dangerous for driving and operating machinery.
  • Do not use Nautamine with alcoholic beverages.

    Consider when coordinating with the drugs:

  • Other central neurological inhibitors (anti -depression, barbiturate, clonidine and related substances, sleeping pills, morphine derivatives (pain relievers and them), methadone, sedative drugs and anxiety drugs): Nautamine increases central neurological inhibitors. Reducing alertness can be dangerous for driving and operating machinery.
  • Atropine and substances that act like Atropine (antidepressants imipramine , Pakinergic drugs anti -cholinergic, anti -spasmic drugs, disopyramide, phenothiazine sedative): Adjust effects (ADR) related to Audopine varieties that can occur, such as urinary, urinary or dry, such as urine mouth.

    prolonged monoamine oxidase inhibitors and increase the anti -cholinergic effect of antihistamine.
