Pharmacokology
Mechanism of action
Trimetazidin inhibits the oxidation of fatty acids by inhibiting 3 - ketoacyl - coa thiolase, glucose oxidation process creates energy in ischemic cells that need to consume less oxygen than the oxidation beta. The promotion of glucose oxidation will help optimize cell energy processes, thus maintaining more appropriate energy metabolism during anemia.
Pharmacological effect
In patients with local myocardial ischemia, trimetazidine acts as a metabolite, which helps conserve high intracellular phosphate energy levels in myocardial cell. Trimetazidin has anti -anemia effect but does not affect hemodynamics.
Dynamic pharmacokinetics
Peak concentration in plasma reaches about 5 hours after taking trimetazidin mR 35 mg. The equilibrium of the drug in the blood is reached about 48 - 72 hours after taking the first dose and stable during treatment. The distribution of the drug is 4.8 l/kg, the ratio of cohesion to plasma protein is about 16%. The sale time of Trimetazidin MR 35 mg averages 7 hours in young volunteers, and 12 hours in people over 65 years old.
