    microbiology

moxifloxacin in vitro has a wide antibacterial spectrum including Gram -positive and gram -negative bacteria. Moxifloxacin inhibits the Topoisomerase II enzyme (DNA Gyrase, Topoisomerase IV are essential enzymes for copying, transcription, repair and recombination of DNA of bacteria). Moxifloxacin's C8-methoxy also limits the selection of anti-drug mutations of Gram-positive bacteria compared to C8-H in the previous generation Fuluroquinolon.

moxifloxacin bactericidal at equivalent concentration or slightly increased than bacterial inhibitors.

Fluoroquinolon consists of other moxifloxacin in chemical structure and impact type compared to B-Lactam, macrolid and aminoglycoside antibiotics. Therefore, antibiotic bacteria of B-Lactam, Macrolid and Aminoglysosides may be sensitive to moxifloxacin.

moxifloxacin is active to most of the bacteria strains in both in vitro and the following clinical infections.

    Dynamic pharmacokinetics

Moxifloxacin plasma concentrations are measured in healthy volunteers who are examined both moxifloxacin eyes, 3 times/day. The average CMAX value (2.7ng/ml) and AUC daily (45NG-HR/mL), 1600 and 1000 times lower than CMAX and AUC, respectively after drinking 400mg of moxifloxacin. The sale time of moxifloxacin is about 13 hours.
