Pharmacokology
Participate in immune functions, in resistance to infections, preserve the integrity of blood vessels and in cell respiration.
NAD and NADP plays a very important role in metabolic, as a coenzyme acting as hydrogen transport molecules, catalysts oxidation and reduction reactions needed for cell respiration, glycogen resolution and lipid metabolism.
The main biological function of vitamin D2 is to maintain normal calcium and phosphorus concentration in plasma by increasing the effectiveness of the absorption of minerals from the diet in the small intestine and increasing the mobilization of calcium and phosphorus from bone and blood. Ergocalciferol's activities may have a negative response effect on the formation of parathyroid hormones (PTH). The combination of vitamin D2 with a mixture of calcium has the effect of increasing calcium absorption. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid): Vitamin C is oxidized to Dehydroorscorbic acid. A little vitamin C metabolizes into non-active compounds including ascorbic acid-2-sulfate and oxalic acid excreted in urine. The amount of vitamin C exceeding the body needs (over 200mg) is quickly excreted into urine in the form of unchanged. pharmacokinetics
Vitamin D and its metabolites rotate in the blood associated with specific alpha globulin. The half -life in the plasma of Vitamin D is 19-25 hours but the drug is stored for a long time in fat tissue.
colecalciferol and ergocalciferol are hydroxylation in the liver forming 25-hydroxy-canCalciferol and 25-hydroxyergocalciferol respectively. These substances continue to be hydroxy in the kidneys to form active metabolites.
The liver is the place where Vitamin D transfers to 25-oHD, which is linked to protein and circulation in the blood.
Vitamin D and its metabolites are excluded mainly through bile and feces, only a small amount appears in the urine. Some vitamin D can be secreted into milk.
