Phileo eye drops have the effect of treating eyelid inflammation, lash inflammation, gland inflammation, conjunctivitis, keratitis, corneal ulcer, antiseptic during eye surgery.

Pharmacokological

levofloxacin is the L-Isomer isomer of Ofloxacin, a quinolone antibiotic and has 2 times more powerful of Ofloxacin. The mechanism of action of levofloxacin is due to inhibition of Topoisomerase IV and DNA Gynase (both are Topoisomerase II) are essential enzymes for the process of multiply, copy, repair, and re -combine DNA of bacteria.

On In vitro, Levofloxacin has a broad spectrum for gram -positive and gram -negative bacteria and drug concentrations that have a slightly higher bactericidal effect than bacterial inhibitors.

In both in vitro and clinical infection, levofloxacin works for most bacteria strains.

The average concentration of levofloxacin in tears fluctuates between 34.9-221.2 micrograms/ml after 60 minutes of small drugs. The average concentration of levofloxacin in tears measured after 4 hours of small drugs is 17.0microgram/ml and after 6 hours is 6.64microgram/ml.

How to use

Dosage

Day 1 and 2: Small 1 to 2 drops into the eyes infected every 2 hours, 8 times/day.

Day 3 to 7: Put 1 to 2 drops into the eyes infected every 4 hours, 4 times/day.

Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist.

What to do when overdose? Symptoms of overdose as unwanted effects. If an overdose occurs, patients need to wash their eyes with clean warm water and symptomatic treatment.

In an emergency, call the 115 emergency center immediately or go to the nearest local health station.

Side Effects

Contraindicated

Phileo eye drops in the following cases:

  • Caution when using

    Using drugs in pregnant and lactating women

    Pregnant women: The safety of drugs in pregnant women has not been determined. Therefore, drugs should only be used for this object when the benefits of the drug are more than the risk for the fetus.

    Lactating women: Levofloxacin is likely to be distributed into breast milk. Caution should be used when using medicine for breastfeeding women.

    Medicinal interaction

    There is no drug interaction of any form of eye drops. However, for the form of the whole body of several other quinolones, some of the following interactions: Increasing theophylin concentration in plasma, preventing caffeine metabolism, increasing anticoagulants of oral warfarin and its derivatives.
