Azithromycin has in vitro antibacterial validity for Gram -positive bacteria and grams including: Staphylococcus aureus, s.pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes (group A); Other strains of strains such as Haemophilus parainfluenzae, H.influenzae, Branhamella CatVrhalis; Anaerobic bacteria include: Bacteroides Fragilis, E.coli, Bordetella Pertussis, Haemophilus Ducreyi, Bordetella Parapertussis; Neisseria Gonorrhoeae and Chlamydia Trachomatis. Azithromycin also works on some other bacteria such as Legionella Pneumophila, Mycoplasma Pneumoniae, Mycoplasma Hominis, Campylobacter sp. and treponema pallidum.
