Uses

Indications

Pricefil 250mg/5ml are indicated for treatment for infected patients causing sensitive bacteria strains:

Upper respiratory tract infections: sore throat, tonsillitis, sinusitis and otitis media Sensitive and cultured tests when it is possible to determine the sensitivity of pathogens.

In vitro, Cefprozil has an anti -bacterial effect of gram -positive and Gram -negative bacteria that widen the bactericidal effect of Cefprozil due to inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. In vitro, the drug works against most of the following bacteria:

Gram (-) bacteria when

Moraxella (Branhamella) CatVrhalis, Haemophylus Influenzae (including B-Lactamase seminarians), Citrobacter Diversus, Escherichia Coli.

Klebsiella Pneuomoniae, Neisseria Gonorrhoeae (including penicillinase strains), Proteus Mirabilis, Salmonella spp, Shigella spp, Vibrio spp.

Note: The sensitivity of Citrobacter Diversus and Klebsiella Pneuomoniae should be determined by antibiotics.

Anaerobic bacteria

Prevotella Melaninogenicus:

(Note: Most of the bacteroides Fragilis group strains are resistant to Pricefil).

Clostridium difficile, Clostridium perfringens, fusobacterium spp, peptostreptococcus spp, propionibacterium acnes.

Dynamic pharmacokinetics

Dosage

Adults and children over 12 years old

Pricefil is used to treat infections caused by sensitive bacteria in the following doses:

Sore throat - tonsillitis: 500 mg every 24 hours.

Acute sinusitis or recurrent sinusitis: 500 mg every 12 hours.

Acute otitis media: 500 mg every 12 hours.

Lower respiratory infections: 500 mg every 12 hours.

Inhabited urinary tract infections: 500 mg every 24 hours.

Skin and soft tissue infections: 250 mg every 12 hours or 500 mg every 24 hours or 500 mg every 12 hours.

Children

Children from 6 months to 12 years old have upper respiratory tract infections, such as sore throat, tonsillitis, recommended dose of 20 mg/kg, 1 time/day or 7.5 mg/kg, 2 times/day.

The recommended dose in otitis media is 15 mg/kg every 12 hours.

Maximum daily dose for children must not exceed the maximum daily dose for adults.

In the treatment of bacterial infections caused by beta hemolysis streptococcus, PriceFit should be used for at least 10 days.

Efficiency and safety of drugs in children under 6 months of age has not been determined.
