Indications
pymme diaPRO MR 30mg indicated the treatment of type II diabetes regardless of insulin, coordinated with appropriate diet, when blood sugar control is not achieved by a simple diet.
Pharmacokological
Gliclazid is a anti -diabetes drug sulfonylure. The main effect of the drug is to stimulate the Beta cells to release insulin. Therefore, the drug only works in patients when the pancreas can also produce insulin. Sulfonylure may increase the amount of insulin due to reducing this hormone clearance in the liver.
Dynamic pharmacokinetics
After drinking, the plasma drug concentration increases slowly until 6 hours, the plateau concentration is from the 6th hour to the 12th hour. Gliclazid is completely absorbed.
Food does not affect the speed as well as the absorption concentration. The ratio of cohesion to plasma protein is about 95%.
Gliclazid is metabolized mainly in the liver and excreted mainly through the kidneys, less than 1% found in a constant form in the urine. T1/2 of Gliclazid from 10 - 20 hours.
The distribution volume is about 30 liters.
