Fluconazole has an anti -fungal effect due to changing cell membranes, increases cell membranes, escapes essential factors and reduces the import of precursor molecules.

fluconazole acts by selecting Cytochrom P45014 - Alpha - Demethylase, preventing the synthesis of Ergosterol as sterol mainly in the fungal cell membrane. Demethyl chemical cells in mammals are less sensitive to fluconazol's inhibition. The common sterol of sterols later correlated with the accumulation of 14 - Alpha - methyl sterol in mushrooms and can meet the mushroom pliers of fluconazol.

Used in severe specialized contamination of Candida fungi without resistance to fluconazole, in addition to the case of coccidioides immitis infection, histoplasma.

The maximum concentration in plasma is achieved within 1-2 hours, the stable concentration is achieved within 5-7 days. Patients with a single dose of 400mg with an average peak concentration of 6.72µg/ml (between 4.12 - 8.08µg/ml).

The only dose of 150mg capsules in 10 women breastfeeding CMAX results averages 2,61Ug/ml (between 1.57 to 3.65μg/ml). Stable concentration achieved in 5 - 10 days when used orally dose 50 - 400 mg daily.

Fluconazole is excreted mainly through the kidneys, about 80% of the dose appears in urine in constant form, about 11% of the dose found in urine in metabolic forms.

The drug is widely distributed in tissues and fluid fluids. The concentration of breast milk, joint fluid, saliva, sputum, vaginal fluid and peritoneal fluid similar to plasma concentrations.
