Quincef 125 is indicated in the following cases:

The drug is indicated for treating infections caused by sensitive bacteria:

  • Upper respiratory tract: otitis media , sinusitis, tonsillitis and sore throat.

    Pharmacy

    cefuroxime is a semi -synthetic antibiotic with wide antibacterial spectrum, belonging to cephalosporin group. Cefuroxime has antibacterial activity due to synthesis of bacterial cell walls by attaching essential target proteins.

    Urinary infection: 125mg x 2 times/day.

    Bronchitis and pneumonia: 500mg x 2 times/day.

    Children

    Most infections: 125mg x 2 times/day.

    Children 2 years of age and older sufferer from otitis media or worse infections: 250mg x 2 times/day.
