Uses
indications
Ranitidin 300 mg domeso is indicated in the following cases:
Pharmacokinus
is a H2 histamine receptor antagonist. The four H2 receptor antagonists used are cimetidine , ranitidine, Famotidine and nizatidine. These drugs are capable of reducing 90% of gastric acid secreted after taking a dose of treatment, which quickly causes stomach ulcer and prevent recurrence. They play an important role in controlling Zollinger - Ellison syndrome and excessive gastric secretion.
Ranitidin inhibits competition with histamines in the H2 receptor of the wall cells, reduces the amount of gastric acid secreted day and night, even in food, stimulated by food, insulin, amino acids, histamines, or pentagastrin. Ranitidin has a stronger of gastric acid secretion than cimetidine from 3 to 13 times but the unwanted effect is less.
In recent years, peptic ulcer has been shown to be related to the presence of Helicobacter pylori bacteria . This bacterial killing is the top goal of treatment. To achieve that often combines ranitidine with 1 (treatment regimen with 2 drugs) or 2 antibiotics (3 -drug treatment regimen).
pharmacokinetics
absorption and distribution
Ranitidin's bioavailability is about 50%. After 2 - 3 hours, the maximum concentration in plasma will achieve the highest. The absorption is almost unable to be affected by food and antacids.
Metabolism
Ranitidin is not much metabolized and does not interact with many drugs like cimetidine.
Elimination
Ranitidin is excreted mainly through the renal tubules, the half -life is 2-3 hours, 60 - 70% of oral dose is discharged through the urine, the rest is discharged through feces. Analysis of urine within the first 24 hours shows 35% of oral dosage except for constant form.

Peptic ulcer has Helicobacter pylori bacteria
Apply the following 2 or 3 drug regimen in 2 weeks, then use ranitidin 2 more weeks. Dosage: 300 mg oral in the evening (or 150 mg, 2 times/day).
Preventing peptic ulcer due to nonsteroidal anti -inflammatory drugs
dose of 150 mg twice a day.
Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease
150 mg, 2 times/day or 300 mg once in the evening, for 8 to 12 weeks. Once recovered, for long -term maintenance, take 150 mg twice a day.
Treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
150 mg, 3 times a day. Can drink up to 6 g/day, divided into several times.
To reduce stomach acid (prevent acid inhalation) in obstetrics
Give 150 mg right at labor, then every 6 hours to drink 1 time.
Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist.
What to do when overdose?
Because there is no specific antidote, it is necessary to treat support and symptoms as follows:
What to do when you forget 1 dose? However, if the time to relax with the next dose is too short, skip the dose and continue the calendar of the drug. Do not use double dose to compensate for missed dose.
Side Effects
When using Ranitidin 300 mg domeso , you may experience unwanted effects (ADR).
Common, ADR> 1/100
Uncommon, 1/1000 Blood: leukopenia, thrombocytopenia. Liver: Increased enzyme transaminase. Rare, ADR Skin: Diverse erythema. Instructions on how to handle ADR When experiencing side effects of the drug, it is necessary to stop using and notify the doctor or go to the nearest medical facility for timely treatment.
Warnings
Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.
Contraindicated
Ranitidin 300 mg domesco contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.
Be cautious when used
ranitidin is eliminated through the kidneys, so when the kidney failure, the drug concentration in plasma increases. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the dose in people with renal failure.
Severe liver failure, acute porphyrin metabolism disorders, are at risk of increasing unwanted effects and overdose risk. Ranitidine should be avoided for people with a history of porphyrin disorders.
Patients with heart disease may be at risk of heart rate.
Treatment with H2 antihistamine resistance can cover the symptoms of stomach cancer and slow down the diagnosis of this disease. Therefore, when there is a stomach ulcer, it is necessary to eliminate the possibility of cancer before treatment with ranitidine.
The ability to drive and operate machinery
The drug can cause dizziness and drowsiness. Therefore, it is necessary to be cautious for the driver and operate machinery.
Pregnancy
Ranitidin passes the placenta but with the dose of treatment does not see any harm to the pregnant mother, the birth and health of the fetus.
The period of breastfeeding
Ranitidin is excreted in milk, so it is only used when necessary during breastfeeding.
Drug interaction
ranitidin inhibits very little metabolism in some drugs such as cumarin anticoagulants, theophylin, diazepam, propranolol. Ranitidine's affinity with cytochrom P450 enzymes is about 10% compared to cimetidine and the level of liver enzyme inhibitor is less than cimetidine 2-4 times.
Coordinate with glipizid to hypoglycemia but not much.
combined with enoxaxin to reduce bioavailability.
When using ketoconazole, fluconazole and otraconazole with ranitidine, these drugs are reduced by ranitidine, reducing the acidity of the stomach.
Combined with theophylin, theophylin concentration in serum and toxicity increases very little.
Coordinate with clarithromycin increases ranitidine levels in plasma (57 %).
Coordinate with propanthelin bromid increases the peak concentration of ranitidine in serum and slows down absorption, possibly due to slowing the transport of drugs through the stomach. Ranitidin's relative bioavailability increased by about 23 %.
Food and antacids (low doses) do not reduce the absorption and peak concentration of plasma of ranitidin.
Storage
Store in a dry place, temperatures below 30 ° C, avoiding light.
