Uses

indications

Rotorlip 10mg drug indicated in the following cases:

  • Supplemented in eating therapy in the following cases: hypercholesterolemia (type IIA including hyperlemy hyperlemy heterozygous), mixed blood lipid disorders (type IIB), primary blood lipoprotein disorders, triglycerides, and to slow down atherosclerotic progression. Diet and other measures to reduce blood lipids or when these measures are not suitable. Inhibits competition with methylglutaryl Coenzym (HMG - COA) Reductase, preventing HMG - CoA into Mevalonate, precursor cholesterol. The drug inhibits cholesterol biosynthesis, reduces cholesterol in liver cells, stimulates the synthesis of LDL receptors (low density lipoprotein), and thereby increasing LDL transport from blood. The final result is to reduce cholesterol levels in plasma.

Rosuvastatin reduces LDL very effectively. In addition, the drug also increases HDL cholesterol levels (high density lipoprotein) and thus lowering LDL/HDL ratios and total/HDL cholesterol. The drug also reduces plasma triglycerides by increasing VLDL (very low density lipoprotein) residues thanks to the LDL receptor.

In clinical studies, evidence suggests that statins significantly reduce coronary artery events, all cardiovascular events have existed and reduce the total number of deaths in people with coronary artery disease.

    Dynamic pharmacokinetics

Rosuvastatin's peak concentration is achieved after 3-5 hours of use by oral, absolutely used about 20%. The level of absorption and the concentration of rosuvastatin increases proportional to the dosage, food and the time of medication during the day does not affect the absorption of the drug. After drinking, the drug is excreted mainly in feces (90%), the sale time is about 19 hours.

    How to use

Rotorlip 10mg pills in the form of oral film tablets.

    Dosage

Patients need a reasonable diet before treatment with rotorlip and should maintain this diet during treatment.

Initial: Rotorlip 5 - 10 mg/ 1 time/ day, use anytime of the day, meals or hunger. The dose can be adjusted every 4 weeks if necessary. The maximum dose is 40 mg/ 1 time/ day, closely monitoring for cases of 40 mg.

According to the pharmacokinetics research in the US in Asians, the ability to absorb Rosuvastatin in Asians is twice as higher than the white people, so it should be considered the starting dose of 5 mg in Asians.

    Children (10 - 17 years old): 5 - 20 mg/ day, maximum 20 mg/ day.

Patients are using Atazanavir, Atazanavir combining Ritonavir, Lopinavir combined Ritonavir: Maximum 10 mg/1 time/day.

Patients with severe renal failure (CLCR

Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist.

What to do when overdose? If an overdose is conducted for symptomatic treatment and necessary support measures. Hemorrhage does not significantly increase rosuvastatin clearance.

In an emergency, call the 115 emergency center immediately or go to the nearest local health station.

What to do when you forget 1 dose? However, if the time to relax with the next dose is too short, skip the dose and continue the calendar of the drug. Do not use double dose to compensate for missed dose.

    Side Effects

When using Rotorlip, you may experience unwanted effects (ADR).

  • Common: diarrhea, constipation, flatulence, abdominal pain, nausea. Headache, dizziness, blurred vision, insomnia, weakness. Muscle pain, joint pain.

Notify the doctor with unwanted effects when using the drug.

  • Warnings

Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.

    contraindicated

Rotorlip drug contraindicated in the following cases:

  • Hypersensitivity to any ingredients of the drug.

    Be cautious when used

Before starting treatment with rosuvastatin, it is recommended to combine blood cholesterol control by measures such as diet, weight loss, exercise, and treatment of diseases that can be the cause of lipid growth. Proceed with periodic lipid quantification, and adjust the dosage according to the patient's response to the drug. Use LDL cholesterol levels to start treatment and evaluation.

Exzy liver enzyme test before starting treatment with rosuvastatin and in case of clinical indications for testing later. Consider monitoring Creatin Kinase (CK) in the case:

Before treatment, CK tests should be conducted in the following cases:

  • impaired renal function, hypothyroidism, self -history or family history of genetic muscle disease, a history of muscle disease due to the use of statin or previous fibrat, a history of liver disease and/or drinking a lot of alcohol, elderly patients (> 70 years old) have risk factors for muscle pattern, the possibility of drug interactions and some special patients. In these cases, the benefits/risks should be considered and monitor patients clinically when treated with statin.

During statin treatment, patients need to notify when there are muscle manifestations such as muscle pain, muscle stiffness, muscle weakness ... When there are these manifestations, patients need to do CK test to take appropriate interventions.

Statin therapy must be suspended or stop in any patient who shows signs of acute and severe muscle disease or has risk factors prone to acute renal failure due to muscle pattern. Only use rosuvastatin for women of reproductive age when they are definitely not pregnant and only in the case of hypercesting blood cholesterol is very high without responding to other drugs.

    Pregnant and lactating women

contraindicated drugs for pregnant and lactating women.

affects the ability to drive and operate machinery

Caution when using the drug while driving and operating machinery because the drug can cause dizziness.

    Drug interaction

drug interactions may affect the activity of the drug or cause side effects. Should notify the doctor or pharmacist a list of drugs and functional foods you are using. Do not use or increase or decrease the dose of the drug without the guidance of a doctor.

Increased risk of muscle lesions when using rosuvastatin simultaneously with the following drugs: Gemfibrozil, other fibrat blood cholesterol medications, high -dose niacin (> 1g/day), Colchicin, cyclosporin, otraconazole, ketoconazole.

Simultaneous use of statin lipid medications with HIV and hepatitis C (HCV) can increase the risk of muscle damage, the most serious muscle, kidney damage leading to kidney failure and may be fatal.

Rosuvastatin may increase the effects of warfarin and increase the bioavailability of oral contraceptives when taken with.

Anti -acid (containing aluminum hydroxyd and magnesi hydroxyd) and erythromycin can significantly reduce the bioavailability of rosuvastatin when taken. Therefore, the time to use these drugs with rotorlip must be apart, at least 2 hours.
