Uses

indications

Scolanzo 30mg drugs are indicated in the following cases:

  • Treatment of duodenal ulcer, stomach ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease - acute esophagus. Treatment of maintenance after curing ulcerative esophagitis to reduce recurrence. (History of stomach ulcer) Must treat chronic diseases with NSAID.
  • Treatment of Zollinger - Ellison syndrome. Lansoprazol is related to structure and pharmacology with omeprazol.

Lansoprazols are not inversely linked to H+/K+ATPASE is an enzyme available on the cell surface of the stomach wall, so the Lansoprazol inhibits the final transportation of hydrogen ions into the stomach. Because the enzyme system H+/K+ATPASE is considered as the acid pump of the gastric mucosa, Lansoprazol is considered a proton pump inhibitor.

Lansoprazol inhibits the basic stomach acid secretion and is stimulated by any stimulant agents. Thanks to that, Lansoprazol is used for short -term treatment of stomach -duodenal ulcer and long -term treatment of hyperactive discharge of pathological digestive discharge (Zollinger -edison syndrome, multi -hormonal tumor, systemic nourishment).

The level of gastric acid secretion depends on the dose and treatment time, but the Lansoprazol inhibits acid secretion better than H2 receptor antagonists.

Combined with antibiotics (amoxicillin, clarithromycin), Lansoprazol can be effective in stomach inflammation caused by Helicobacter pylori.

    Dynamic pharmacokinetics

    absorption

Lansoprazol absorbs rapidly, the average maximum concentration is about 1.7 hours after drinking, with absolute bioavailability of over 80%.

In healthy, half -life in plasma is 1.5 (± 1.0) hours.

Maximum medication concentration and the area under the curve (AUC) decreased by about 50% if the drug was taken about 30 minutes after eating.

    distribution

Lansoprazol binds to plasma proteins about 97%.

    transformation

Lansoprazole metabolizes the liver thanks to the cytochrom P450 enzyme system to turn into two main metabolites: Sulfon Lansoprazol and Hydroxyl Lansoprazol.

Metabolic substances have very little or no effect against acid secretion.

    Elimination

About 20% of the drug is excreted on bile and urine.

Elimination of Lansoprazole is prolonged in people with severe liver disease, but does not change in people with severe kidney failure. Therefore, the dose is needed for serious liver disease.

Treatment of acute stomach ulcers due to NSAID in patients who must continue using NSAID, Lansoprazol 30 mg/ day must be closely checked during 8 weeks of treatment.

The elderly: No need to adjust the dose of Lansoprazols in this age group, no increase in the rate of side effects in this age group.

Patients with failure: Be careful to use medication for patients with renal impairment (Creatinine clearance 30 - 70 ml/min), always follow the prescribed dose.

Patients with liver failure: The clearance of Lansoprazols slows down when using single -dose Lansoprazols for patients with liver failure, so treatment with Lansoprazol must be strictly controlled by the doctor and always weekly at the prescribed dose.

The ability to drive and operate machinery

The doctor may depend on the specific case that recommends whether or not recommend that patients take the drug when driving and operating machinery.

    Pregnancy

There is no important clinical effect with Diazepam, Phenytoin, Theophylin, Prednisolon or Wafarin when used with Lansoprazol.

lansoprazole reduces the effect of ketoconazole, itraconazole and other drugs with acidic absorption.

Sucralfat slowed down and reduced the absorption of Lansoprazol (about 30%).
