Uses

Indications

Siro asbunyl are indicated for use in cases of cough caused by bronchial asthma, bronchitis, perforation gas and other lung diseases that cause bronchospasm and increase secretion.

Pharmacokology

Tertbutalin, a Beta2-ADRENERGIC LOVE, has the effect of stimulating the beta receptor of the sympathetic nervous system, with little or no effect on the alpha receptor. The main effect of terbutalin is to relax the bronchial smooth muscle and peripheral blood vessels. Like metaproterenol and albuterol, terbutalin has a strong stimulating effect on the beta2 receptor of the bronchi, blood vessels and uterine smooth muscles, and the low effect on the beta1 receptor of the heart. However, at high doses of terbutalin may cause heart and central nervous system. Terbutalin sometimes increases heart rate, unknown that it is due to Terbutalin stimulating beta receptors or response to blood pressure changes due to peripheral vasodilation.

Guaifenesin has a sputum effect by irritating the gastric mucosa, then stimulating increasing secretion in the respiratory tract, increasing the vol

pharmacokinetics

terbutalin sulfate

Absorption: about 33 - 50% of the terbutalin sulfate oral dose is absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract. After drinking, the breathing effect appears within 30 minutes, the clinical improvement of respiratory function after 1-2 hours and reaches the maximum within 2-3 hours. The effect time lasts 4 - 8 hours. Half lifetime elimination of the drug is about 3-4 hours.

Distribution: Terbutalin is distributed into breast milk at the least concentration equal to plasma concentrations at the same time. However, the amount of medicine in milk is less than 1% of the mother's oral dose.

Metabolism and excretion: Terbutalin metabolizes partially in the liver, mainly into sulfate complex substances that are no longer active. After drinking, most of the dose is eliminated in the form of a combined substance. The drug is metabolized in the digestive tract or initially metabolized through the liver. The elimination of drugs and metabolites completed within 72 - 96 hours after a single dose.

Guaifenesin

Guaifenesin is well absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract. The drug is metabolized and then eliminated through the urine.

How to use

Sico form for oral.

Dosage

Adults: about 10 - 15 ml (2-3 teaspoons), drink 2-3 times/day.

Children:

  • From 7-15 years old: about 5 - 10 ml (1-2 teaspoons), drink 2-3 times/day; Overdose? Sometimes hypotension occurs.

Test results: Sometimes there is hyperglycemia and blood lactic acid infection. Beta2 away medications can cause hypotension due to potassium re -distribution, but often do not need treatment.

    Management:

Mild to medium case: reduce the dose. Then increase the dose slower if it has not been effective against spasms.

Severe cases: gastric lavage, activated carbon. Check the balance of acid, blood sugar and electrolytes. Monitor the frequency, heart rate and blood pressure. It is necessary to promptly adjust the changes to metabolism. Be careful when using beta receptor inhibitors in patients with a history of bronchospasm. If the peripheral resistance through the beta2 receptor intermediary contributes significantly to hypotension, the plasma volume is needed.

Guaiifenesin does not cause life -threatening symptoms.

What to do when you forget 1 dose? However, if the time to relax with the next dose is too short, skip the dose and continue the calendar of the drug. Do not use double doses to compensate for missed dose.

  • Side Effects

The degree of adverse effect depends on the dose and sugar. The appropriate starting dose often reduces adverse effects.

    terbutalin

    Common, ADR> 1/100

  • Cardiovascular: Increasing heart rate, changing blood pressure, brushing chest drums.
  • Neurology: headache, nausea, vomiting; restlessness, difficulty sleeping, or sleeping, sleeping chicken; weak people; hot face, sweating, chest tightness, muscle muscle, tinnitus.
  • Neurological: convulsions, hypersensitivity.

Rare or rare reactions: dizziness, headache, diarrhea, vomiting or nausea, abdominal pain, skin rash, urticaria. Kidney stones have been reported in patients who abuse the preparation containing Guaifenesin.

Need to stop the drug if vomiting is much or abdominal pain. Avoid prolonged medication.

Notice to the doctor if there is any side effects related to the medication.

  • Warnings

Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.

    Contraindicated

Patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.

    Be cautious when using

use caution in the case of increased sensitivity to sympathetic amines, such as in patients with non -treated toxic toxicity.

Need to monitor more blood sugar tests for asthma patients and have diabetes at the same time at the beginning of treatment, due to the risk of hyperglycemia by Beta2 away drugs.

Beta2 transport owners have been successfully used in the treatment of emergency heart failure due to severe ischemia. However, these drugs are likely to cause arrhythmia, so it is necessary to consider treatment for each patient with lung disease.

Due to the stimulation of myocardial contraction, Beta2 agonous substances should not be used in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

Hypotension can occur when taking Beta2 transport drugs simultaneously with the derivatives of xanthin, steroids, diuretics or due to hypoxia. So need to monitor blood potassium in these cases.

Do not use self -treatment in case of persistent cough or repeated recurrence.

Note that this drug may have a positive reaction when doing anti -doping tests.

The effect of drugs on driving and operating machinery

    does not affect.

Use drugs for women during pregnancy and lactation

    recommendations not for pregnant women.

Only use in women who are breastfeeding when benefits are superior to risks.

    Drug interaction

    terbutalin

With sympathetic breeding drugs: Terbutalin is not used simultaneously with sympathetic medications, because of the ability to increase the catastrophe on the cardiovascular system. However, the aerosole bronchodilator type stimulates adrenergic (bronchiectasis), which can be used to reduce acute bronchospasm, in patients who are taking long oral terbutalin.

With theophylin derivative: there is evidence by animal studies showing that the medication simultaneously sympathizes (including terbutalin) and theoophylin derivative such as aminophylin, which can increase the toxicity on the heart, such as arrhythmia.

Mao inhibitors or 3 -round antidepressants increase the harmful effects on the cardiovascular system when combined with Terbutalin. Therefore, when it is necessary to coordinate, must be very careful.

    Guaifenesin

Interactive drugs: Do not use Guaifenesin combination preparations with dextromethorphan for patients who are taking Mao inhibitors.

Be careful when using the combined preparation of Guaifenesin and phenylpropanolamine for patients with hypertension, heart disease, diabetes or peripheral vascular disease, prostate hypertrophy and glaucoma.

    Storage

Leave a cool place, avoid light, temperature below 30⁰C.

To be out of reach of children, read the user manual carefully before use.
