indicators
Skinrocin skin ointment indicated in cases of skin infections such as:
Expeanor, folliculitis, bacterial pimples are more sensitive: such as Staphylococcus aureus, including methicillin resistant strains, other strains of staphylococci, streptococci, gram -negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Haemophilus Influenzae.
Pharmacokology
ATC code: D06AX09
Mechanism of action: Mupirocin is a fermentation product of pseudomonas fluorescens. The drug inhibits the protein synthesis of bacteria that are attached to the bacteria that are attached to isoleucyl trna synthetase is the catalytic enzyme that creates the formation of isoleucyl-trna from isoleucin trna.
The drug has a bactericidal effect at low concentrations and bactericidal at high concentrations. After applying 2%mupirocin fat, the drug reaches the concentration of bactericidal in the skin. In vitro studies show that the normal pH of the skin is about 5.5 is considered a favorable factor for the effect of the drug when applying on the skin.
Drug resistance:
Low resistance in staphylococci strains are thought to be the result of the mutations in staphylococcal chromosomal gene (Iles) normally as the target of isoleucyl trna synthetase. The high resistance in Staphylococci has been shown by the appearance of a separate plasmid capable of encrypting isoleucyl trna synthetase.endogenous resistance in Gram -negative strains such as Entobacteriaceae may be due to the poor permeability of mupirocin with the outer membrane of bacterial cells.
Due to its special chemical structure and separate impact mechanism, Mupirocin does not record cross -resistant resistance to any clinical antibiotic.
Sensitivity to microorganisms:
Mupirocin sensitive species: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus spp. (Group B is melting, unlike s.pyogenes).
Sensitive species but anti -drugs may be a problem: Staphylococcus spp., negative coagulase.
Species with endogenous resistance: corynebacterium spp., Micrococcus spp.
Dynamic pharmacokinetics
When applied on the skin, a very small amount of drugs are absorbed into the common circulation. The drug quickly converted into MONIC acid, a substance without antibacterial activity in the liver and eliminated most through the kidneys.
The permeability of mupirocin through the epidermis and dermis under the skin increases when the skin is damaged, the skin has folds and when it is tightened.

How to use
Rinse the area to apply medicine with clean water, dry, then apply a small amount of medicine and massage gently, make sure the drug is covered with the skin to be treated
Dosage
recommended dose:
Adults (including the elderly, poor liver function): apply 2-3 times daily, use up to 10 days.
People with renal failure: The drug contains a mixture of excipients, polyethylene glycol, which can be absorbed through the skin with damage and excreted through the kidneys, so it should not be used when there is a risk of absorbing a large amount of polyethylen glycol or combined with another product containing polyethylene glycol.
Not used or mixed Skinrocin with any other skin -based preparations because it can reduce the antibacterial activity and instability of mupirocin in ointment.
Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist. What to do when using overdose?
What to do when you forget 1 dose? However, if the time to relax with the next dose is too short, skip the dose and continue the calendar of the drug. Do not use double dose to compensate for missed dose.
Side Effects
When using skin ointment skin skin complexion often has unwanted effects (ADR) such as:
Common, 1/100
Warnings
Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.
contraindicated
Skinrocin skin ointment is contraindicated in the following cases:
Caution when used
The drug contains a mixture of excipients, polyethylen glycol, which can be absorbed through the skin with damage and excreted through the kidney, so it should not be used when there is a risk of absorbing a large amount of polyethylen glycol or combined with another product containing polyethylen glycol, especially in the case of kidney failure.
Do not leave the drug in contact with the eyes, if accidentally put the drug on the eyes, need to wash the eyes under the clean water and monitor if there is an abnormal reaction.
mupirocin for prolonged external use will lead to excessive development of non -sensitive strains including fungus. If the sign of the disease is not clearly improved after 5-7 days of treatment with Mupirocin, it is necessary to stop the drug and re -evaluate treatment, may replace it to other antibiotics. Palm colitis has been reported with the use of antibiotics and can fluctuate from mild to life -threatening. Therefore, it is important to consider this condition in patients who develop diarrhea while or after antibiotic use.
Although this is less likely to occur with mupirocin topical, if diarrhea lasts or significantly or has a history, should stop the drug immediately and the patient continues to treat if it is stable to stabilize diarrhea.
used for pregnant and lactating women
Animal reproductive studies do not record evidence of the harmful effects of mupirocin on the fetus; Pre -clinical observations show that when used on the skin is difficult to occur reactions with users under normal conditions. Studies also show
that there is no mutant risk. However, there are currently not enough control studies in pregnant women, so only use mupirocin for pregnant women when really necessary.
Because it is unclear whether the drug is secreted into breast milk or not, it is necessary to temporarily stop breastfeeding while using mupirocin. If you are forced to use mupirocin in the chest area, you need to be cleaned thoroughly before breastfeeding.
The effect of the drug on driving and operating machinery
The drug does not affect the ability to drive and operate machinery.
Drug interaction
Not recorded drug interaction with mupirocin topical skin clinically.
In vitro studies with Escherichia Coli shows that chloramphenicol oppose the effects of mupirocin on the synthesis of RNA of bacteria, but the clinical significance has not been identified.
Do not use mupirocin ointments topical to skin with any other skin -based drugs, because the effect has not been studied.
