Indications
Sodium chloride infusion 0.9% 250ml used in the following cases:
The kidney is the main control system of sodium and water balance. Coordinate with hormone control mechanisms (Renin-Anotensin-Aldosterone, anti-urinary hormones) and hormone stimulating sodium excretion in urine, they are mainly responsible for maintaining the volume stability in extracellular and regulating components of extracellular fluids.
chloride is exchanged with hydrogen carbonate in the microconed system and therefore related to alkaline balance regulation.
Dynamic pharmacology
Sodium is the main cation of the extracellular compartment and together with other anions that adjust the size of this compartment. Sodium and potassium are the main intermediates of biological processes in the body.
Sodium amount and metabolism in the body are closely related to each other. Each change of sodium concentration in serum due to physiological changes while affecting the body's fluid condition.
Increasing the amount of sodium of the body also means reducing the amount of free water in the body regardless of serum osmotic pressure.
0.9% sodium chloride solution has a penetrating pressure equivalent to plasma. The transmission solution will mainly lead to replacement in the interstitial compartment with about 2/3 of the entire extracellular compartment. Only 1/3 of the amount is used in the circuit. Therefore the dynamic effect in the blood of the solution is only in a short period of time.
Before taking Sodium chloride intravenous fluid 0.9% B.Braun added sodium chloride and water in case of dehydration (250ml)
How to use0.9% 250ml sodium chloride infusion is used by intravenous line.
In special cases, it must be quickly transmitted under external pressure, which may be necessary in emergency conditions, before the start of transmission, all air needs to be removed from the bottle or there will be a risk of clogging during transmission.
Dosage
Dosage: 1000 ml/day, unless otherwise indicated.
Transmission speed: 120 - 180 drops/minute, equivalent to 360 - 540 ml/hour.
Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist. What to do when overdose?
If such a case occurs, it is necessary to stop the use of infusion containing sodium and check the amount of sodium that has been put into the body. Very rarely cases of hypercodia severe blood sodium, then the method of hemolysis can be used to remove sodium from the body.
In an emergency, call the 115 emergency center immediately or go to the nearest local health station.

Side Effects
When using 0.9%sodium chloride transmission drug, you may experience unwanted effects (ADR).
Improper use or overdose of sodium chloride infusion may lead to hypercatremia.
This phenomenon can occur as a result of previous diseases such as renal failure, increase aldosteron, brain damage or too much glucose transmission in nourishing patients in the gastrointestinal tract.
There may be fever, transient, vascular reactions at the site of the infusion, vasodilation and increased volume of circulating.
Instructions on how to handle ADR
When experiencing side effects of the drug, it is necessary to stop using and notify the doctor or go to the nearest medical facility for timely treatment.
