Soscough® is a drug that treats coughs caused by throat and bronchi is irritated when the cold cold or inhalation of irritable substances.

Cetirizin is a powerful antihistamine that has an anti -allergy effect, but does not cause drowsiness at the pharmacological dosage. The absorption of drugs does not change between individuals. Cetirizin is strongly linked to plasma proteins (about 93%). The clearance of the kidney is 30 ml/min.

Dextromethorphan is quickly absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract and works within 15 - 30 minutes after drinking. The effect of the drug lasts about 6 - 8 hours. The drug is metabolized in the liver and excreted in the urine in the form of dextromethorphan and methyl redemistry metabolites, including dextrorphan, which also inhibit cough.

How to use

Soscough® drug used oral, should not chew or crush the pill but should take whole tablets.

Dosage

for adults and children over 12 years old: take 1 tablet, 2 times a day.

Adjust the dose for special subjects

Patients with renal failure:

Renal function 50 - 79 1 tablet, 2 times a day End -stage kidney - Patients with dialysis

Contraindications

Patients with liver failure and renal failure: The dose adjustment (dosage should be taken for patients with renal impairment).

Older patients: The data does not suggest to reduce the dose for older patients with normal renal function.

Do Cetirizin:

Symptoms of overdose are: Sleeping in adults; In children may be excited. In serious overdose, the stomach is needed with conventional support methods. Up to now, there is no specific antidote.

Do Guaifenesin:

Treatment: Support, use Naloxon 2 mg intravenously, for reminders if needed for a total dose of 10 mg.

In an emergency, call the 115 emergency center immediately or go to the nearest local health station.

What to do when you forget 1 dose? However, if the time to relax with the next dose is too short, skip the dose and continue the calendar of the drug. Do not use double dose to compensate for missed dose.

Interactive drug

Timultant medication with alcohol or other central neurological inhibitors can increase the effects of these drugs.

Avoid using with Mao inhibitors.

Cetirizin clearance is slightly reduced when taken with 400 mg of theophyllin.

quinidine: Quinidine inhibits the cytochrom P450 2D6 enzyme, can reduce the metabolism of dextromethorphan in the liver, increasing the concentration of this substance in the serum and thus increasing the unwanted effects of dextromethorphan.
