Sportacid drug is indicated in the following cases:

  • Treatment Candida mushrooms vulva, vagina, tinea versicolor, skin fungus, Mushroom and Candida Mushroom.

    Sportacid works by attaching to the mushroom cytochrome enzyme, slowing down the synthesis of ergosterol and disturbing the permeability of the fungal cell membrane.

    Pharmacokinetics

    The drug is absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract with a maximum concentration of 1.5 - 4 hours after oral use.

    Distribution

    95% of the drug is combined with plasma proteins and is distributed throughout the body. In some tissues of the body, Sportacid concentration may be 10 times larger in plasma.

    Metabolism - Elimination

    The half -life of the drug is 20 hours at a single dose and may be longer (30 hours) when used repeated. Sportacid is metabolized in the liver and is excreted through bile and urine.

    How to use

    Dosage

    Surface fungal infections

    100 mg x 1 time/day during meals. Treatment time depends on the type of infected disease:

  • Fungal skin/thighs and cantida fungus: 15 days.
  • Visit: 7 days.
  • Vaginal candidiasis: 3 days.

    200 mg x 1 time/day and may increase to 400 mg/day. Treatment time depends on clinical response and infected disease.

  • Side Effects

    Contraindicated

    The drug is specially metabolized in the liver. This drug should not be used for patients with liver disorders or patients with liver poisoning due to other drugs.

    It is not recommended to use drugs in young patients unless the benefits are more than possible.

    Pregnancy

    The period of breastfeeding

    Women who are breastfeeding should be stopped when treating with Sportacid.

    Medicinal interaction

    Simultaneous use of rifampicin and phenytoin with iTraconazole may reduce the level of otraconazole in plasma.

    Used with antacids, absorption agents or antihistamine H2 can reduce ITRAConazole absorption.

    The conversion of Sportacid may increase due to rifampicin.

    Sportacid may have interactive with cyclosporin A, warfarin and digoxin.

    Storage

    Store in a dry place, less than 30ºC, avoid light.
