Sucrahasan drugs are indicated in the following cases:

Treatment of gastrointestinal - duodenal ulcer, chronic gastritis, benign ulcer.

Create a complex with substances such as albumin and fribinogen of the adhesive leaking fluid with ulcers, forming a barrier to prevent the effect of acid, pepsin, and bile salt.

Sucralfate is also mounted on the normal mucosa of the stomach and duodenum but with a much less concentration than the ulcerative position.

Sucralfate also inhibits Pepsin's activity, attached to bile salts, increases Prostaglandin E2 production and stomach mucus.

Dynamic pharmacokinetics

How to use

Sucrahasan drugs prepared oral mixed powder. Drink sucrahasan when the stomach is empty (about half an hour or 1 hour before eating).

Dosage

Dosage in case of stomach - duodenal ulcer treatment:

Normal dose: 1g x 4 times/ day, drink before each meal and before going to bed; or 2 g x 2 times/ day, drink before breakfast and before going to bed.

Each treatment usually lasts from 4 - 8 weeks depending on the level of ulcer until the endoscopy or X - rays show the ulcer heals. However, if necessary, the treatment may last longer but should not use more than 2 weeks.

Effective treatment often combines sucrahasan with histamine H2 inhibitors or proton pump inhibitors and antibiotics.

Dosage in case of prevention of recurrence of stomach - duodenum:

Normal dose: 1g x 2 times/ day

Treatment does not last more than 6 months.

Dosage in case of gastroesophageal reflux treatment - esophagus:
