indications
Sucrapi oral fluid containing the active ingredient is Sucralfat, which is a substance of the gastrointestinal mucosa, acting by creating a protective barrier in the ulcer and preventing irritation caused by acid, pepsin and bile.
Sucrapi oral fluid is used in:
Pharmacological group: Protection of gastric mucosa; Treatment of stomach and duodenal ulcer.
ATC code: A02BX02
Sucralfate is an aluminum salt of sulfate disacarid, used for short -term treatment of duodenal and stomach ulcers.
The drug has a local effect (ulcer) than the body effect. When there is gastric acid, the drug forms a complex like a lake powder sticking to the damaged mucosa. Sucralfat does not neutralize many stomach acid levels. The treatment dose of sucralfate has no acid anti -acid effect, but when adhering to the gastric - duodenal mucosa, the acid neutralization effect of sucralfate can become important to protect at the ulcer.
The drug has a strong affinity (6-7 times higher than the normal stomach lining) for ulcerative area and affinity for duodenal ulcers larger than stomach ulcers. Sucralfat has created an ulcerative protective barrier. This fence has inhibited pepsin's protein elimination effects by preventing pepsin from attaching to albumin, fibrinogen ... available on the ulcer surface. This fence also prevents the diffusion of H+ ions by interacting directly with acid on the ulcer surface.
Sucralfate also absorbs bile acids, inhibits diffusion back to glycocholic acid and protects the gastric mucosa from being damaged by taurocholic acid. However, the effect of sucralfate on bile acid in the treatment of peptic ulcer is unclear. Sucralfat is considered to be a gastrointestinal mucosa protective drug with the meaning of creating a fence in the ulcer to protect ulcers from pepsin, acid and bile -causing ulcer and therefore ulcers can be immediately. The drug is considered a protective drug of the gastrointestinal mucosa.

Do not use the supplement of the sucrapi for intravenous injection, the possible complications are aluminum poisoning, pulmonary and brain embolism, death.
Sucrapi oral fluid is not recommended for dialysis.
Avoid using simultaneously with aluminum -containing drugs because of the increase in aluminum absorption and toxicity.
The ability to drive and operate machinery
When using the drug may occur dizziness, drowsiness, so patients should pay attention when driving or operating machinery.
Women during pregnancy and lactation
Pregnant women: Not determined to be harmful to the fetus. The drug absorbs very little through the gastrointestinal tract. However, when pregnant should only take the drug in case of essential.
Lactating women: It is unknown whether or not the sucralfate will be excreted in milk or not. If excreted in breast milk, the amount of sucralfate will also be very small, because the drug is absorbed into the body very little. However, be careful when using sucrapi for pregnant women.
Drug interaction
Can use antacids along with sucralfate in the treatment of duodenal ulcer to mitigate pain. But do not drink at the same time as antacids can affect the attachment of sucralfate on the mucosa. You should tell patients to take Antacid before or after taking Sucralfat 30 minutes.
Cimetidin, ranitidin, ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin, ofloxacin, digoxin, warfarin, phenytoin, theophylllin, tetracyclin, ketoconazole, sulpid, levothyroxine, quinidine when taken with Sucralfate
will reduce the absorption. So take these drugs 2 hours before or after taking sucralfat.
Simultaneous use of preparations containing citrate with sucralfate may increase the concentration of aluminum in the blood. The mechanism is due to the formation of aluminum chelate that increases the absorption.
Storage
Store in a dry place, avoid light, temperature below 30 ° C, not to freeze.
