Indications
Tobidex eye drops are indicated for eye inflammation in the eye response to steroids and indicated for corticosteroids, when surface infections in the eye or at risk of eye infections.
Small steroids are indicated in the condition of the lash conjunctivitis, the conjunctivitis of the eyeball, the keratitis and the anti -inflammatory part of the eyeball when accepting the risk of the use of steroids to reduce edema and inflammation. Small steroids are also indicated in cases of chronic phenomenon, chemicals, radiation or foreign burns.
The use of a combination drug with an anti -bacterial ingredient is indicated when there is a high risk of surface infection in the eye or when it is possible to present a number of dangerous bacteria in the eye.
Tobidex Tobidex antibiotic antibiotics in Tobidex are resistant to the following common pathogenic bacteria:
Staphylococcus aureus, including S. Aureus and S. Epidermidis (positive coagulase and negative coagulase), including resistance strains with penicillin.
Streptococcus streptococcus, including Beta blood strains, some non -solved strains and a few streptococcus pneumoniae strains.
Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, Escherichia Coli, Klebsiella Pneumoniae, Entobacter Aerogenes, Proteus Mirabilis, Morganella Morganii, most Proteus Vulgaris, Haemophilus Influenzae, H. Aegyptius, Moraxella Lacxella Lacxella and Acinetobicy Calcoaceticus and several types of neisseria.
Pharmacokology
Tobidex combines antibiotics and corticosteroids to prevent infections and anti -inflammatory in place for the eye.
Dexamethasone has the main effect of anti -inflammatory, anti -allergic and immunosuppressive inhibition to reduce swelling, inflammation and edema caused by inflammatory agents.
Tobramycin is an antibiotic inhibiting protein synthesis in sensitive bacteria by attaching disapproval with ribosom subunits. Researching Invitro, bacteria are also sensitive to Tobramycin: Staphylococcus including the strain that has been resistant to penicillin, including S. Aureus and S. Epidermidis (positive coagulase and negative coagulase). Streptococcus, including a number of Beta groups of Beta group A. Some species of non -blood glass, and some streptococcus pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia Coli, Klebsiella Pneumoniae, Enterobacter Aerogenes, Proteus Mirabilis, Morganella Morganiiiiiiiii Vulgaris, Haemophilus Influenzae, H. Aegyptius, Moraxella Lacunata and Acinetobacter Calcoaceticus and some Neisseria species. In some cases, bacteria resistant to gentamicin are still sensitive to tobramycin.
pharmacokinetic pharmacokinetics
absorption, distribution:
Tobramycin is poorly absorbed through the cornea and membrane, a small amount is absorbed into the eyes after use on the spot.
When used in the eyes, dexamethason is absorbed into the aquatic, cornea, iris, film, eyelashes, retina. The whole body absorption occurs but it is only meaningful at a higher doses or prolonged therapeutic regime in pediatric. Dexamethasone absorbs well from the digestive tract, the peak concentration in plasma when taken is 1-2 hours.
Metabolism:
dexamethasone sodium phosphate quickly converted into dexamethasone in the circulatory system, the drug associated with plasma proteins (up to 77%), mainly with albumin. Half of the plasma is 2.7 - 4.5 hours. The drug is highly absorbed in the liver, kidneys and adrenal glands. Metabolism in the liver slowly.
Era:
Eliminate mainly through urine (more than 60% of the doses of excretion through urine within 24 hours), most of the form of non -conjugated steroids.

Warnings
Contraindicated
Tobidex drugs contraindicated in the following cases:
Caution when using
long -term use of small corticosteroids can lead to glaucoma/glaucoma with damage to optic nerves, vision reduction, market defects and can also lead to the formation of cataracts under the following bags.
Should check the glaucoma regularly, especially for children who are used for products containing dexamethasone, due to the risk of glaucoma due to steroids may be higher in children under 6 years old and may occur earlier than the same response in adults.
The risk of glaucoma and/or cataract formation due to increased corticosteroids in patients at risk (e.g. diabetes).
For long -term use can also lead to secondary eye infections. Corticosteroids may reduce the ability to resist and support the formation of bacterial, viral or fungal infections and hide the clinical signs of infection.
Awareness of aminoglycosides antibiotics is locally used in some patients. If hypersensitivity is developed during the use of this drug, the drug should be stopped
Diagonal hypersensitivity reactions to other aminoglycosides may occur and the risk of patients sensitive to Tobramycin used on the spot may be sensitive to antibiotic aminoglycosides used on the spot and/or other body use to be considered.
Serious harmful reactions including nerve poison, toxicity on the ears and kidneys that have occurred in patients being treated with aminoglycosides antibiotics used systemic, need to be cautious when used simultaneously.
Fungal infections should be suspected in patients with persistent corneal ulcer. If fungal infection occurs, corticoid treatment should be discontinued.
For a long time, antibiotics such as Tobramycin can lead to excessive growth of non -sensitive organisms, including mushrooms. If there is superinfection, it is advisable to conduct appropriate treatment.
Corticosteroids with eye -catching eye can slowly heal cornea. NSAID on the spot is also known to slow down or delay this. Simultaneous use of local NSAID and steroid drugs can worsen this problem.
In thinning or thin cornea diseases, corneal perforation is known to occur with local corticosteroids.
Wearing contact lenses is not recommended for use in the treatment of infections or inflammation in the eye. If the patient is allowed to wear contact lenses, they must be instructed to remove menstruation before using Tobidex and wait at least 15 minutes before wearing again.
The ability to drive and operate machinery
The drug does not affect the driver and operating the machine.
Pregnancy
There has been no complete research on pregnant women. Therefore, the drug is really necessary and must consider the benefits and the risk of the fetus.
Breastfeeding period
Be cautious when using Tobidex for breastfeeding women.
Medicinal interaction
If used simultaneously with other systemic aminoglycosides antibiotics need to monitor serum antibiotic concentration.
Storage
In closed jars, avoid light, temperature below 30⁰C.
