Trisula skin cream is indicated for treatment of allergic skin inflammatory lesions, bacterial infections or primary or non -superinfections:

  • Original or secondary skin infections due to gentamicin sensitive bacteria.
  • foundation mushrooms, surrounding nail inflammation caused by Candida albicans.
  • Psoriasis, contact dermatitis, neuritis, eczema with or without superinfection, seborrheic dermatitis, sun -caused dermatitis, itchy anus. Learning

Pharmacological group: Betamethasone and antibiotics; Belonging to the strong corticosteroid group (group III), combined with antibiotics. Used in the treatment of skin diseases.

    ATC code: d07cc01.

trisula combines the activity of 3 substances: anti -inflammatory, antifungal and anti -infection.

betamethasone is a corticosteroid with anti -inflammatory, anti -itching and vasoconstrictic activity.

Gentamicin provides bactericidal effect on sensitive microorganisms: Streptococcus-Hemolytic group A, Staphylococcus aureus. Gram -negative bacteria: Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, Aerobacter Aerogenes, Escherichia Coli, Proteus Vulgaris and Klebsiella Pneumoniae.

Clotrimazole is an Imidazole derivative that has a fungicide effect due to the impact on the fungal cell membrane that causes cytoplasm. Sensitive to the strains of Candida Albicans, Trichophyton Floccosum, Microsporum Canis and Trichomonas Vaginalis.

    Dynamic pharmacokinetics

betamethasone: After applying, especially when covered or when the skin is deep damage, corticosteroids can be absorbed enough to cause systemic effects. The level of skin absorption of local corticosteroid depends on many factors (used form, intact of the epidermal fence, the bandage).

The drug can be absorbed when the skin is normal and intact. Inflammable or infected skin may increase the absorption of drugs through the skin. Once the skin is absorbed, topical corticosteroids have the same pharmacostatic path like when using systemic corticosteroids.

When used on the spot, Clotrimazole can penetrate into the epidermis but the whole body absorption rarely occurs.

Clotrimazole metabolizes in the liver into non -active substance and is excreted through feces and urine.

Gentamicin: There is a report on the whole body absorption after use on the spot on the skin peeling, burning or in the wound. Selling time in plasma is 2-3 hours. Gentamicin is not metabolized and eliminated in the form of unchanged urine.

    How to use

    topical skin.

    Dosage

Apply a thin layer of cream, covering the whole skin regularly 2 times/day (morning, dark). The duration of treatment depends on the level of spreading/localized and responding. Review diagnosis if not improved after 3-4 weeks.

Stop used if symptoms are sensitive to drugs or itching.

Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist.

    What to do when overdose?

    overdose:

The use of topical corticosteroids for a long time can inhibit the function of the pituitary and adrenal glands, resulting in secondary adrenal insufficiency, which may have manifestations such as hypertension, Cushing disease.

When using Clotrimazole contains C, marked on the skin intact or damaged while the bandage for 6 hours, in the serum of these objects, the amount of clotrimazole measured is negligible (the detection limit is lower than 0.001 mcg/ml). So will not overdose when using clotrimazole on the spot.

Once the overdose of the gentamicin will not cause symptoms, but the use of too much or prolonged gentamicin on the spot can lead to superinfection by non -sensitive bacteria.

    How to handle:

Symptomatic treatment. Symptoms during acute corticosteroid overdose can recover. Treatment of electrolyte imbalance (if necessary). In the case of chronic poisoning, corticosteroids should be eliminated slowly.

If superinfected by non -sensitive microorganisms, stop using Trisula and appropriate treatment.

In case of emergency, call the 115 emergency center immediately or go to the nearest local health station.

What to do when you forget 1 dose? However, if the time to relax with the next dose is too short, skip the dose and continue the calendar of the drug. Do not use double doses to compensate for missed dose.

Cross allergy between aminoglycosides have been proven.

The whole body absorption when using corticosteroids and gentamicin on the spot will be increased when applying the drug on wide skin or using gauze, especially when used for a long time and torn the skin.

Avoid using gentamicin on open wounds and damaged skin because it can cause unwanted effects system, especially careful when used for children and babies.

The use of long -lasting antibiotics can cause excessive growth of non -sensitive microorganisms.

If this happens, stop using Trisula and treat appropriate symptoms.

Do not apply trisula into the eyes or skin around the eyes.

The use of topical corticosteroids in children is likely to cause the inhibition of the hypothalamus - pituitary - adrenal gland (HPA) and the higher external corticosteroid effect in adults due to the higher ability to absorb through the skin.

HPA axis inhibitors, Cushing syndrome, linear retarded, slow weight gain and intracranial hypertension have been reported in children using topical corticosteroids. Manifestations of adrenal inhibition in children include low plasma cortisol levels and no ACTH stimulation.

The manifestation of intracranial hypertension includes fontanel, headache and edema on both sides.
