Indications
Uruso 300 mg is indicated in the following cases:
In addition, ursodeoxycholic acid increases bile flow, which helps improve bile stasis. Ursodeoxycholic acid helps protect liver cells from toxic effects of liver toxicity of water -soluble bile acids (such as lithocholic acid, deoxycholic acid, chenodexolic acid) by inhibition of competitive absorption into the intestine.
pharmacokinetic
Distribution:
After drinking, ursodeoxycholic acid into the bloodstream and is transferred directly to the liver, only a small amount of circulation within the circulation.
Metabolism:
Ursodeoxycholic acid quickly absorbed into the liver and binded to glycin or taurin and then entered the bile. A small ratio ursodeoxycholic acid is subjected to metabolism caused by bacteria in the liver - intestinal cycle.
Elimination:
Ursodeoxycholic acid is eliminated mainly in feces.

Improve liver function in primary bile cirrhosis: 10 - 15 mg/kg/day divided into 2-4 times.
Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist.
What to do when overdose? Overall, other symptoms of an overdose cannot occur due to ursodexolic acid absorption decreases when increasing the dose, and thus is waste heavily in feces.

Precautions when using
Caution
Ursodeoxycholic acid should be used under a doctor's monitor.
In the first 3 months of treatment, it is advisable to monitor the AST (SGOT), ALT (SGPT) and γ-AG every 4 weeks and then every 3 months. In addition to allowing the determination of response or non -response to the treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis, it also allows early detection of liver damage, especially in patients with primary bile cirrhosis.
When indicated to melt cholesterol stones: To assess the progress of treatment and timely detection of calculus of gallstones, depending on the size of the gravel, it is advisable to check the overview of the gallbladder after 6 - 10 months of treatment.
Do not use ursodeoxycholic acid if the gallbladder can not be seen on X-ray or in the case of calculating gallstones, reducing gallbladder spasm or frequent abdominal pain due to bile liver.
When used to treat primary biliary cirrhosis, the stage of progress in a very rare number of cases recorded unsatisfactory cirrhosis, and partially recovered when stopped treatment.
If diarrhea occurs, dose reduction and in case of prolonged diarrhea, the drug should be discontinued.
Patients with rare genetic diseases in tolerance Galactose, Lapp Lactose deficiency or absorption of Glucose - Galactose should not use this drug.
Be cautious when appointing Uruso for the following patients
Patients with severe pancreatic diseases.
Patients with gallstones in the bile duct (bile can occur due to bile effects).
Patients with liver brain disease, ascites or liver transplant.
The ability to drive and operate machinery
The drug does not affect the ability to drive and operate machinery.
Pregnancy
Do not use this drug for pregnant women because they have reported fetal toxicity on test animals.
Breastfeeding period
It is not known whether this drug is excreted in breast milk or not. Because there are many excreted drugs on breast milk, be careful when prescribing this medication for nursing women.
Medicinal interaction
Precautions when prescribing this drug along with the drug that causes tolbutamide hypoglycemia for diabetics because this drug increases the hypoglycemic effect of Tolbutamide.
Do not use a combination of ursodeoxycholic acid with activated carbon, cholestyramin, colestipol or antacids containing magnesi, aluminum hydroxyd and/or aluminum oxyd, because these drugs are associated with Ursodeoxycholic acid and thus reduces absorption and efficiency. In case of need to use one of the above drugs, at least 2 hours before or after taking ursodeoxycholic acid.
Medications that increase cholesterol in bile (such as oral contraceptives containing estrogen) or medications that reduce blood cholesterol such as clofibrate may increase the risk of gallstones, thus affecting the effectiveness of ursodexolic acid in the treatment of gallstones.
Ursodeoxycholic acid may increase the absorption of ciclosporin in the intestine. In patients being treated with ciclosporin, blood concentration should be checked in blood concentrations of ciclosporin and adjusting the dose if needed.
In some cases, ursodeoxycholic acid can reduce the absorption of ciprofloxacin.
Ursodeoxycholic acid shows the ability to reduce the peak concentration (CMAX) in plasma and area under the curve (AUC) of the calcium channel blockers such as nitrendipine. An interaction that reduces the effectiveness of DASSON treatment is also recorded. These observations, along with In vitro tests, shows the ability to ursodeoxycholic acid induction cytochrom P450 3A. However, in controlled clinical trials, Ursodeoxycholic acid shows no effects on the enzyme induction Cytochrom P450 3A.
