Vansartan is indicated in the following cases:

  • Valsartan is used to treat hypertension, reducing mortality due to the left ventricular dysfunction after myocardial infarction and treatment of heart failure.

    How to use

    Dosage

    adults

    Hypertension

    Starting dose 80 mg x 1 time/day, can be increased by 160 mg x 1 time/day and maximum 320 mg x 1 time/day.

    In the patient, clinically stabilized, therapy can start as soon as 12 hours after myocardial infarction. The starting dose is 20 mg x 2 times/day, the dose will be increased gradually to a maximum dose of 160 mg x 2 times/day. The last dose depends on the response and tolerance of each patient.
