Before taking Vansartan 80mg Stella treatment for hypertension, heart failure (3 blisters x 10 tablets)
How to use
valsartan is used orally, regardless of meals, should be taken with water.
Dosage
adults
Hypertension
Starting dose 80 mg x 1 time/day, can be increased by 160 mg x 1 time/day and maximum 320 mg x 1 time/day.
after myocardial infarction
In the patient, clinically stabilized, therapy can start as soon as 12 hours after myocardial infarction. The starting dose is 20 mg x 2 times/day, the dose will be increased gradually to a maximum dose of 160 mg x 2 times/day. The last dose depends on the response and tolerance of each patient.
If symptomic hypotension occurs or kidney dysplasia, dose reduction should be considered.
heart failure
The starting dose is 40 mg x 2 times/day. Increase the dose every 2 weeks from 80 - 160 mg × 2 times daily to the highest dose depending on the patient's tolerance.
Consider reducing the dose while being used with diuretics.
Valsartan may be combined with other heart failure therapies. However, do not coordinate 3 groups of drugs: ACE inhibitors, beta and valsartan blockers or potassium -saving diuretic.
Patients with renal failure
No need to adjust the dose in patients with CLCR ≥ 10 ml/min.
Conventional use of Valsartan with Aliskiren in patients with renal failure (GFR

Contraindicated to simultaneously use Valsartan with Aliskiren.
Patients with liver failure
Contraindicated use of Valsartan for patients with severe hepatic impairment, biliary cirrhosis, cholestasis.
Do not exceed 80 mg in patients with mild to moderate liver failure without biliary stasis.
Elderly
No dose adjustment.
Children
Hypertension
Children and adolescents 6 - 18 years old:

There is no recommendation to use Valsartan. The safety and effectiveness of Valsartan in children from 1 to 6 years old has not been set up.
kidney failure
It is not recommended to use Valsartan in children with ClCr 30 ml/min. Should closely monitor kidney function and serum potassium.
Hepatic failure
Severe liver failure, biliary cirrhosis, cholestasis: do not use valsartan.
Mild to moderate liver failure: no more than 80 mg.
