Indications
Vitamin B1 drugs are indicated in the following cases: Treatment of vitamin B1 deficiency diseases, numbness, neuritis, multiple neuritis due to alcoholism.
Pharmacokological
Thiamine pyrophosphate (TPP), Thiamine's coenzymatic form, related to two main metabolic reactions: α-ketoacids and transketolation. Therefore, the main physiological role of Thiamine is a coenzyme in the metabolism of carbohydrates, when TPP is required in a few stages in the decomposition of glucose to provide energy.
In addition to its metabolic role is also a coenzyme, Thiamine plays a role in the nerve transmission function.
In high doses, Thiamine inhibits the transmission of nervous stimulation and therefore can have analgesic effect.

Dosage

Adults
Depending on the condition of severe or mild disease, 30 - 300mg/day is divided into 2-3 times.
Children
Take 1/2 adult dose.

What to do when using overdose?
No report. However, at very high doses, Thiamin can cause headaches, nausea, discomfort, and hypotension.

Thiamin can increase the effects of neurotransmitter.
