The anti -vomiting effect can also be due to the chemical trigger trigger zone. Some studies suggest that dimenhydrinat inhibits acetylcholin is the main mechanism of action, because stimulating acetylcholin in the vestibular system and mesh can be the cause of nausea and vomiting due to motion sickness. The central nervous system inhibiting effects often decrease after a few days of treatment and anti -vomiting effect can be partially reduced after prolonged use.
Dimenhydrinat is an antihistamine, but has not been evaluated for anti -allergy effects.
Dynamic pharmacokinetics
dimenhydrinat absorb well after drinking. The anti -vomiting effect usually starts within 15 - 30 minutes after drinking. Time works from 3-6 hours after taking the drug. There is little information about the distribution and metabolism of dimenhydrinat.
Like other antihistamine drugs, the drug can be widely distributed into organizations in the body, through the placenta, metabolized in the liver and excreted through the urine. A small amount of dimenhydrinat is distributed into breast milk.
