pharmacokinetic
absorption
tamsulosin HCl is absorbed almost completely through the gastrointestinal tract (> 90%) when hungry.
TMAX concentration (TMAX) reaches about 4 to 5 hours when hungry and 6 to 7 hours when taking medicine with food.
Use drugs when hungry stomachs increase by 30% bioavailability (AUC) and increase 40% to 70% of the peak concentration (CMAX) compared to when NO.
Distribution
tamsulosin HCl strongly connected to plasma proteins (94% to 99%), mainly with alpha - 1 glycoprotein (AAG), with wide variation. A small amount distributed into the brain, spinal cord and testes.
Metabolism
Slow metabolic drugs in the liver are largely due to cytochrome P450 enzymes. Most drugs are present in plasma in the form of unchanged.
Excretion
Medicines and metabolites are excreted mainly in urine, less than 10% of the dose is present in a constant form. After taking the prescription with the abdomen and the patient is in a stable state, the half -life is about 10 to 13 hours.

How to use
Xalgetz drug is used orally. Should be used about half an hour after meals, at the same time of the day.
Dosage
Signs and proper hypertension syndrome in the prostate: Use 1 Xalgetz TM capsule 0.4 mg daily.

If stopped or interrupted for a few days at a dose of 0.4 or 0.8 mg, when used again, it must start with 0.4 mg daily.
Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist.
What to do when using overdose? Acute hypotension (70 mmHg systolic blood pressure), vomiting and diarrhea have been observed, can be indicated for infusion and patients should be removed from the same day. If acute hypotension occurs after an overdose, treatment is supporting the cardiovascular system, restoring blood pressure, regulating heart rate by holding patients in the back position. If this method is ineffective, it is possible to prescribe fluid, medications using vasoconstriction if necessary and closely monitor kidney function.
Do not separate because Tamsulosin is highly connected to plasma proteins.
Methods to prevent absorption, such as vomiting. When an overdose of a large amount of Tamsulosin HCl, the stomach can be washed or used as activated carbon and penetrated laxative like sodium sulphate.
What to do when forgetting 1 dose? However, if the time to relax with the next dose is too short, skip the dose and continue the calendar of the drug. Do not use double dose to compensate for missed dose.

Before the beginning of Tamsulosin HCl therapy, patients should check to eliminate other signs that may cause the same benign hypertension symptoms in the prostate. Rectal testing by technique and when necessary, determining the specific prostate antigen (PSA) should be tested before treatment and periodically.
