Uses
indications
Xonatrix-120 drug is indicated in the following cases:
Treatment of symptoms in seasonal allergic rhinitis, malefinity chronic urticaria in adults and children over 6 years old.
Pharmacological
Fexofenadine is a second -generation antihistamine drug, which has a specific antagonistic and selective effect on peripheral H1 receptors. The drug is a metabolic substance that has the activity of terfenadine, also competing with histamine at H1 receptors in the digestive tract, blood vessels and respiratory tract, but no toxicity for the heart due to not inhibiting potassium channels related to myocardial cycle.
Fexofenadine has no significant effect on acetylcholine antagonism, dopamine antagonism and has no effect on inhibiting receptor alpha or beta-adrenergic. At the treatment dose, the drug does not cause sleep or affects the central nervous system. The drug has a fast and prolonged effect due to the slow -attached drug into the H1 receptor, forming a sustainable complex and separating slowly.
pharmacokinetics
absorption:
Good absorption drug when taken oral and start to work after drinking 60 minutes. The peak concentration in the blood is achieved after 2–3 hours. Fat -rich foods reduce the peak concentration in plasma by about 17% and extend the time to reach the peak concentration of the drug (to about 4 hours). Anti -antihistamine effect lasts more than 12 hours.
Distribution:
The ratio of the plasma protein of the drug is 60–70%, mainly with albumin and alpha-1-acid glycoprotein. It is unclear whether the drug is through the placenta or excretion in breast milk, but when using terfenadine has detected fexofenadine as a metabolic substance of terfenadine in breast milk. Fexofenadine does not go through the blood barrier -N.
Metabolism:
Fexofenadine is very little metabolized (about 5%, mainly in the intestinal mucosa. Only about 0.5–1.5% are metabolized in the liver thanks to the cytochrome P450 enzyme system into non -active substances). About 3.5% of fexofenadine dose metabolized through phase II (not related to the cytochrome p450 enzyme system) into methyl ester derivatives. This metabolite is only seen in the stool, so there may be the participation of intestinal bacteria into this metabolism.
Era:
FEXOFENADINE SELLS OF FEXOFENADINE is about 14.4 hours, longer (31–72%) in kidney failure people. The drug excreted mainly in feces (approximately 80%) and urine (11–12%) in constant form.

How to use
oral medication. Do not take medicine with fruit juice. The time to take the drug does not depend on the meal, but should not be taken too close (for 15 minutes) with antacids containing magnesi and aluminum.
Dosage
Allergic rhinitis:
Children under 12 years of age: The form of preparation is not suitable for the specified dose.
Standing chronic urticaria:
Children under 12 years of age: The form of preparation is not suitable for the specified dose.
Elderly and renal failure:
Children under 12 years of age: The form of preparation is not suitable for the specified dose.
Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist. What do
do when overdose? Carrying a pills along with the packaging so that the doctor knows what medicine you have taken and takes timely measures.
Use conventional measures to remove the unexplained drug part in the digestive tract. Support support and treatment.
Hemolysis reduces the concentration of drugs in the blood (1.7%). There is no specific antidote.
What to do when you forget 1 dose? Do not drink twice as doses.
Side Effects
When using Xonatrix-120, you may experience unwanted effects (ADR).
Common, ADR> 1/100
Other: prone to viral infection (colds, flu), abdominal pain during menstruation, susceptible to upper respiratory infections, itchy throat, cough, fever, otitis media, sinusitis, back pain.
Uncommon, 1/1000 Rare, 1/10000 Not determined frequency Instructions on how to handle ADR When experiencing side effects of the drug, it is necessary to stop using and notify the doctor or go to the nearest medical facility for timely treatment.
Warnings
Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.
Contraindicated
Xonatrix-120 drugs are contraindicated in cases of sensitivity to fexofenadine, terfenadine or any ingredient of the drug.
Be cautious when used
Be careful and adjust the appropriate dose when taking drugs for people with impaired renal function because the concentration of drugs in plasma increases due to prolonged semi -exhaust time. Be careful when taking medicine for the elderly (over 65 years old) often has a decline in kidney physiology.
Safety and effectiveness of drugs in children under 6 months of age have not been identified.
Need to stop Fexofenadine at least 24–48 hours before conducting injection antigen tests.
Use Fexofenadine to make psoriasis worse.
Antihistamine anti -histamine can cause unwanted effects such as fast heartbeat, brushing chest drums. Be cautious for people with a history or suffering from cardiovascular disease.
Xonatrix contains lactose monohydrate. Patients with galactose intolerance disorders, lactase deficiency or glucose -galactose absorption disorders should not be used.
The ability to drive and operate machinery
Although Fexofenadine is less likely to be drowsiness, but still careful while driving or operating machinery requires alertness.
Pregnancy
Because there is no complete research on pregnant women, only fexofenadine is used for pregnant women when the maternal benefits are superior to the risk for the fetus.
The period of breastfeeding
It is unclear whether the drug is excreted in milk or not, although it has not seen the unwanted effect in newborns when the breast -feeding mother uses Fexofenadine. Therefore, be careful when using fexofenadine in breastfeeding women.
Drug interaction
Fexofenadine does not metabolize through the liver, so there is no interaction with other drugs metabolized through the liver.
erythromycin and ketoconazole increase fexofenadine levels in plasma but do not change the QT range. Fexofenadine concentration may increase due to erythromycin, ketoconazole, verapamil, p-glycoprotein inhibitors.
There is no interaction between Fexofenadine and Omeprazole. Do not simultaneously use fexofenadine with antacids containing aluminum, magnesi because of reducing fexofenadine absorption.
Fexofenadine may increase alcohol concentration, central nervous sedatives, anti -cholinergic substances.
Fexofenadine may reduce the concentration of acetylcholininininiserase inhibitors (in the central nervous system), Betahistine.
Fexofenadine may be reduced by concentrations by acetylcholininininiserase inhibitors, amphetamine, acid resistant, grapefruit juice, rifampin.
Fruit juice (oranges, grapefruit, apples) can reduce the bioavailability of fexofenadine by 36%. Avoid using fexofenadine with ethylic alcohol (alcohol) because it increases the risk of sedation (sleep).
Storage
In a dry place, avoid light, the temperature does not exceed 30ºC.
