Uses

Indications

Zoladex 3.6mg is indicated in the following cases:

  • Prostate cancer: Prostate cancer control is suitable for treatment through hormone mechanism. The uterus is lost.

    Pharmacy

zoladex 3.6mg is a synthetic active ingredient with similar structure to natural LHRH. The long -term use of Zoladex 3.6mg leads to inhibition of pituitary secretion, thus reducing serum testosterone levels in men and serum esteriol levels in women.

This effect can recover when discontinued. First Zoladex 3.6mg is similar to the LHRH's owners, which can temporarily increase the serum testosterone levels in men and serum estradiol in women. In the early stages of drug treatment, some women suffer from vaginal bleeding with different time and level. Such bleeding cases may be due to estrogen -stop use and will stop spontaneously.

In men, at about 21 days after the first injection dose, testosterone levels lower to the level equivalent to the testicular surgery and continue to be inhibited when the treatment continues every 28 days. This inhibition leads to prostate abuse and improves symptoms in most patients.

In women, serum esteriol concentration is reduced to about 21 days after the first dose and when treated continuously every 28 days, estradiol concentration is inhibited at the same level in menopausal women. This decrease in concentration is associated with response to hormone -dependent breast cancer, endometriosis, uterine fibroids and reducing follicular growth in the ovaries. It will reduce the endometrial thickness and lead to amenorrhea in most patients treated.

In women anemia due to uterine fibroids, drugs combined with iron causes amenorrhea and improving hemoglobin levels and related hematological parameters. This combination makes the average hemoglobin level higher than 1g/dl compared to iron treatment.

While treating with a structure similar to LHRH, the patient may be turned off. Some rare cases of patients who do not have periods return after treatment.

    pharmacokinetics

The bioavailability of Zoladex 3.6mg is almost perfect. The use of slow release (depot) every 4 weeks ensures that the effective concentration is maintained without accumulating in tissue.

The drug is less associated with protein and the half -life of the blood is 2-4 hours in people with normal kidney function. This disposal time will increase in patients with renal function damage. For active ingredients formulated in Depot every month, this change is almost negligible. Therefore, it is not necessary to change the dose in these patients. There is no significant change in pharmacokinetics in patients with liver failure.

    How to use

    Injections subcutaneously.

A depot (slow -release drug sample) 3.6mg zoladex injected under the abdominal wall every 28 days.

    Dosage

    Reproduction has help

Zoladex 3.6mg is used to regulate the pituitary inhibiting pituitary, which is determined based on the serum esteroe level similar to serum esterol levels observed at the beginning of the ovary stage (about 150pol/l). The air conditioning impact lasts from 7 to 21 days.

When the pituitary inhibition is reached, the process of ovulation (stimulating ovulation is controlled) with gonadotropin will begin. The inhibition of the pituitary gland is achieved by a prolonged release GNRH owner, in some cases, Gonadotropin needs.

In the appropriate follicle development stage, Gonadotropin is stopped and Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is used to cause ovulation. The monitoring of treatment, collection of eggs and fertilization techniques is carried out according to the regular methods at each facility.

No need to adjust the dose for patients with renal impairment, liver failure and the elderly.

    Endometriosis

Should be treated for only about 6 months, because there is no clinical data for longer treatment. Do not use the drug many times because it can cause bone mineral loss. The patient treats endometriosis with Zoladex 3.6mg with replacement endocrine therapy (using estrogen and progesterone every day) showing reducing the loss of bone minerals and vascular symptoms.

    For appointment of endometrial thickness

Two Depot is used for 4 weeks, the surgery time is intended from the first week to the second week after using the second depot.

For women with anemia caused by uterine fibroids

Zoladex 3.6mg with iron supplement treatment is used in three months before surgery.

    Children

zoladex 3.6mg is not specified for children.

Note: The above dose is for reference only. Specific dosage depends on the condition and level of progression of the disease. For a suitable dose, you need to consult a doctor or medical specialist.

    What to do when overdose?

    Symptomatic treatment.

What to do when you forget a dose? However, if close to the next dose, skip the forgotten dose and take the next dose at the time as planned. Note that it should not be used double the prescribed dose.

    Warnings

Before using the drug you need to read the instructions carefully and refer to the information below.

    Contraindicated

Zoladex 3.6mg contraindications in the following cases:

  • History of sensitivity to active ingredients, substances with similar structure LHRH or any excipients of the drug.
  • Pregnant or lactating women.
  • Precautions when using

zoladex 3.6mg is not used for children because it has not been established the safety and effectiveness of the drug in this patient group.

Be careful when using Zoladex 3.6mg in men who are at risk of progression or compression of the spinal cord. These patients should be carefully monitored during the first month of treatment. If there is or are progressing the situation of spinal compression or kidney damage due to obstruction of the urinary tract, specific standard treatments for this complication must be done.

The use of LHRH motorcycle owner can reduce bone mineral density. In women, the current data shows that most bone -loss patients will be recovered gradually, on average after stopping treatment. Preliminary data shows that the use of 3.6mg Zoladex in combination with Tamoxifen in patients with breast cancer can reduce the loss of bone minerals.

Patients with endometriosis with zoladex 3.6mg with replacement endocrine therapy (using estrogen and progesterone every day) shows reducing the loss of bone minerals and vascular symptoms. In men, the preliminary data proposes the use of biphosphonate combined with the LHRH shipping owner can reduce the loss of minerals of the bone.

The reduction of glucose tolerance is recorded in men using LHRH's ownership. It can be manifested by diabetes or loss of blood sugar in diabetes patients. So consider the monitoring of blood sugar.

Zoladex 3.6mg should be used carefully in women with bone disease.

Zoladex 3.6mg can cause increased cervical resistance, so be cautious when there is cervical expansion.

So far, no clinical data on the effects of Zoladex treatment 3.6mg in benign gynecological diseases in the period of more than 6 months.

Help: Zoladex 3.6mg should only be used as part of the reproductive treatment regime with assistance under the supervision of experienced specialists in this field.

Like other LHRH movements, there are a number of reports on ohss stimulation syndrome (OHSS) related to the use of Zoladex 3.6mg in combination with gonadotropin. The inhibition of the pituitary gland is achieved by the prolonged release of GNRH shipping, which can lead to increased demand for gonadotropin. The stimulus cycle should be carefully monitored to filter out patients at risk of developing OHSS syndrome due to the severity and the incidence of this syndrome may depend on the dosage mode of Gonadotropin. Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) should be discontinued when appropriate.

Zoladex 3.6mg is recommended to be carefully used in the reproductive support regimen in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome due to follicle development stimulation may increase.

The ability to drive and operate machinery

There is no Zoladex 3.6mg evidence that affects the decline of driving capabilities or operating machinery.

    Pregnancy

Although there is no evidence of the likelihood of monitoring in toxic toxic trials on animal reproductive systems, Zoladex 3.6mg should not be used for pregnant women because of theoretically, risk of miscarriage or abnormalities for fetuses if using LHRH copper in pregnancy. Women are likely to be pregnant, so they should go to the doctor carefully before treatment to eliminate the possibility of pregnancy. During treatment, the contraception should be used without hormones and in the case of endometriosis, it should be used until menstruation.

Eliminate the possibility of pregnancy before using Zoladex 3.6mg in reproductive treatment regime with help. Clinical data on the use of 3.6mg zoladex in this area is limited but existing evidence shows that there is no cause and effect between the use of 3.6mg Zoladex and the developmental abnormalities of eggs or pregnancy.
