This is the consequence of the acute pharyngitis process repeated many times and does not respond to medications. Signs of chronic pharyngitis is common is throat pain, increasing when swallowing, prolonged cough, sometimes sputum. Sore throat and cough that lasts for weeks are alarming symptoms, patients need to visit immediately, to eliminate or detect other serious diseases attached.

Chronic pharyngitis is classified into 4 forms based on lesion characteristics:

  • Serious chronic sore throat: red throat mucosa, many blood vessels.
  • Chronic pharyngitis secretion : Red throat mucosa, increased secretion of mucus, clear, slightly sticking to the back of the throat.

  • Excessive chronic pharyngitis : also called granular pharyngitis. In this form of red throat mucosa, thickening. The lymphatic organizations in the back of the throat are too small to scattered or concentrated into a vertical strip at the back called the "fake pillar".
  • Sore throat atrophy: thin, shrinkage, and become dry due to the mucous glands under the mucosa also shrink, reduce secretion. Họng thường có màu hồng nhợt nhạt, đóng vảy vàng, khô. Thể bệnh này thường gặp ở người bệnh lớn tuổi hoặc người bị bệnh trĩ mũi.
  • Causes of Chronic pharyngitis's disease

There are many causes of chronic pharyngitis, such as:

    Infections

have many groups of pathogenic bacteria in the pharyngeal area, the most common of which is Streptococcus. Bacterial streptococcal can cause other serious damage at the heart, musculoskeletal if left untreated.

Dust smoke and substances that pollute the air in the air always exists toxic substances such as dirt, chemical vapor, gas, smoke ... Living in polluted environment, regularly inhaling the impurities This substance can cause many respiratory diseases, including chronic pharyngitis and lung damage ..

    Chronic tonsillitis

inflammation of organizations around the throat is also a cause of chronic pharyngitis. The tonsils are the most often infected structure. Patients will experience more symptoms such as fever, nausea, surrounding lymphadenopathy, headache, abdominal pain.

    Gastroesophageal reflux disease

gastroesophageal reflux disease is one of the causes of chronic pharyngitis that patients do not think of. Other reasons
  • Chronic nasal congestion due to crooked partitions, nasal stem polyps.
  • Atopic allergies such as white blood esophagitis
  • Symptoms of Chronic pharyngitis's disease

Symptoms of chronic pharyngitis are often prolonged, mainly on -site functional symptoms, including:

  • Sore throat: This is the most common symptom. Sore throat lasts weeks, accompanied by burning, itching, dryness and feeling entangled in the throat. The most obvious symptom is early in the morning.
  • Difficult to swallow, swallow pain
  • persistent, persistent speech

  • Change voice, hoarseness
  • hot in the chest area behind the breastbone, belching, heartburn in patients with gastroesophageal reflux.

Systemic symptoms such as fever, fatigue, headache are often poor, nonspecific.

Transmission route of Chronic pharyngitis's diseaseChronic pharyngitis

Chronic pharyngitis is not transmitted from patients to healthy people.

People at risk for Chronic pharyngitis's disease

Many factors are considered to play a role in increasing the risk of chronic pharyngitis such as:

  • Tobacco smoke: Even when smoking and inhaling passive cigarette smoke can cause irritation of the throat mucosa.
  • allergies: Weather allergies or dust, mold can also cause sore throat.

Stimulant chemicals: The chemical particles floating in the air also stimulate the throat.

Chronic sinusitis: Nasal juice, secretion can cause throat irritation and spread the pathogens from the nose to the throat.

weak body resistance: When suffering from diseases such as HIV, diabetes, cancer, prolonged stress will cause the body's immune system to weaken.

    Prevention of Chronic pharyngitis's disease

Measures to help prevent disease and good control of the disease:

  • Building a healthy lifestyle, eating nutritious, eating lots of green vegetables and fruits, increasing resistance to the body against viruses and pathogenic bacteria.
  • Keep the fresh air environment
  • No smoking and away from cigarette smoke places
  • Good oral hygiene, throat with physiological saline every morning and evening helps clean the throat, avoiding bacteria to concentrate in the same inflammatory mucosa. >
  • Fotal treatment of sinusitis, acute tonsillitis.
  • Wear a mask every time you go on the road, especially when coming to polluted areas. There are lots of dust.
  • Good protection when labor
  • Suction nasal fluid, keep the nose clean, do not let the secretion of the nose flow down to irritate the throat mucosa.
  • Wash your hands regularly with antiseptic substances, especially after coughing and sneezing
  • Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease if any
  • Diagnostic measures for Chronic pharyngitis's disease

Chronic pharyngitis is diagnosed based on the exploitation of a history of disease, mechanical clinical symptoms and the examination of the pharyngeal area. Depending on the disease, the doctor will observe the forms of the throat mucosa with different characteristics.

  • Serious chronic sore throat: red throat mucosa, many blood vessels.
  • Chronic pharyngitis secretion: Red throat mucosa, increased secretion of mucus, clear, slightly sticking to the back of the throat.
  • Excessive chronic pharyngitis: also called granular pharyngitis.
The throat is usually pale pink, scaled yellow, dry.
  • Subclinical tests and diagnostic means often used to diagnose the cause of the disease and distinguish it from other diseases:

  • Blood formula test
  • Lung X -ray, Blondeau, Hirtz movies ...
  • Endoscopy of gastric esophagus
  • CT scan neck
  • Laryngoscopy

    Chronic pharyngitis's disease treatments

    Can

    chronic pharyngitis can be cured?

Patients with chronic pharyngitis can recover completely if treated properly and promptly, the most important of which is to solve the cause. Chronic pharyngitis is easy to relapse if it does not solve the cause of the disease.

Treatment of chronic pharyngitis includes solving causes, eliminating risk factors and treating symptoms.Treatment of causes

  • Treatment of sinusitis, tonsillitis: Use antibiotics under the instructions of the doctor
  • Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux syndrome: Use proton pump anti -pump medications as directed by your doctor
  • Removes the risk factors of the disease: Stay away from cigarette smoke and harmful substances in the air.
  • Treatment of symptoms
  • Analgesics, inflammation
  • Liquet liquid drugs anti -allergic drugs

  • Cough reduction pills
  • Small nose, nose wash with physiological saline
  • rinse with antiseptic solutions containing liquid iodine, physiological saline
  • Sacrificial treatment
  • Building a healthy lifestyle
  • Eat lots of green vegetables and fruits, supplement vitamins C, A to increase the body's resistance.
