Hyper uric acid hyperkemis

Hyper uric acid hyperkemis's disease overview

What is

What is blood uric acid disease?

Uric acid is a metabolic product of Purin nucleus- a composition of DNA, RNA .. (genetic matter). Uric acid is eliminated through the kidneys. When uric acid in the blood increases exceeding the saturation, it can crystallize into urate crystals, deposited in the joints causing acute gout attacks (gout). Or deposited in the skin, soft tissue into tophi particles, or forming urate stones in the kidney. hyperuricemia may have symptoms or asymptomatic symptoms. Increasing blood uric acid with symptoms often refers to acute gout attacks or chronic gout.

Causes of Hyper uric acid hyperkemis's disease

There are many causes of hyperuricemia, generally divided into two large groups due to hyperplation of purin nucleus or reducing excretion through the kidneys. The causes can be mentioned:

  • drink a lot of alcohol
  • Purin diet: animal organs, crab shrimp, seafood, beans of all kinds, mushrooms ...
  • Chronic kidney failure

  • Due to diseases that cause excessive cell destruction: Mi mi, malignant diseases, psoriasis, etc.
  • Due to drugs: Many drugs can increase uric acid such as corticosteroids, diuretics (Furosemide), aspirin, tuberculosis drugs (ethambutol, pyrazinamid ...) ...
  • Due to enzyme deficiency in purin metabolism (genetic disease)
  • Symptoms of Hyper uric acid hyperkemis's disease

When increased uric acid symptomatic, they often manifest into acute gout (gout) clinically. In the long term, there will be chronic gout, chronic uric acid increased

  • Acute gout: Classics often appear after a high -protein meal, usually on midnight. Pain in a joint (most common is the big toe). Good response to colchicine.
  • Manifestations of chronic gout and chronic uric acid:
  • Tophi seeds: due to urate salt deposits in connective tissues. Common in the ear, elbow, joints, can see white inside. When the grain broke, it will flow out of white paste
  • Painful swelling deformed joints due to uric acid deposition at joints
  • Kidney stones: Uric stones, manifested by kidney cramps, pain in the back of the hip spread to the groin, genital organs, can urinate blood
  • Renal failure due to interstitial kidney disease

People at risk for Hyper uric acid hyperkemis's disease

  • drink a lot of alcohol
  • A highly protein diet: seafood, animal organs
  • obesity

  • Little physical exercise
  • Hypertman

    Chronic kidney disease

  • Use prolonged corticosteroid painkillers
  • Medications in cardiovascular diseases: Aspirin, Furosemide
  • Having malignant diseases

Prevention of Hyper uric acid hyperkemis's disease

  • Healthy diet: lots of green vegetables, low animal fat, reducing foods high in purin if hyperuricemia blood uric acid
  • regular exercise: at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days per week

  • Do not use indiscriminate drugs, if you need to take the medication for a long time, must be used as directed by your doctor
  • Restrict alcohol
  • Diagnostic measures for Hyper uric acid hyperkemis's disease

  • Testing: Blood uric acid. It is called hyperuricemia when blood uric acid concentration in men is over 7mg/dl (420 µmol/l), in women over 6mg/dl (360 µmol/l)
  • Other tests: kidney function, total urine analysis to find kidney complications of the disease

  • Puncture joint fluid if urate spillway is found to diagnose gout
  • Hearted joints to find chronic joint damage

Hyper uric acid hyperkemis's disease treatments

Treatment of hyperuricemia consists of two groups

  • Inemplastic hyperuricemia: may not need treatment. If the patient is under 40 years old, increases uric acid over 480mmol/l and has an accompanying metabolic pathology that can be prescribed early Uric acid. If increased blood uric acid caused by a solution of tumor in malignant diseases, use medication as directed by your doctor
  • Hyperglycemia with symptoms: Gout or chronic lesions due to hyperuricemia
  • Acute gout: can use colchicine 1mg/day, drink at night. Side effects can cause diarrhea, vomiting. Steroid analgesic (NSAID) can
  • chronic gout and chronic lesions due to hyperuricemia: Often use synthetic inhibitors of uric acid is allopurinol. Allopurinol should not be used in acute gout attacks but should wait for inflammation. But if you are using allopurinol and there is an exacerbation, you will continue to take the medicine. The disadvantage of allopurinol is that it can cause heavy allergies, which can be life-threatening (about 2-3%). The same group with allopurinol has more Febuxostat. This drug lowered uric acid better and caused less allergies than allopurinol but the price is higher. The drug that increases urinary uric acid excretion is Probenecid, which is less used, can be used when intolerant to the synthetic inhibitor group of uric acid.
