Can Vyepti cause fatigue?
No, Vyepti has not been shown to cause fatigue in clinical studies conducted by the manufacturer. Unusual tiredness or weakness may occur if you have an allergic reaction to Vyepti. Tell your doctor right away if you have these side effects during after Vyepti infusion.
How is Vyepti given?
Vyepti (eptinezumab) is given as an intravenous (IV) infusion in your doctor's office usually 4 times per year. You do not give this medicine to yourself. The infusion takes about 30 minutes and your healthcare provider will monitor you for any side effects. Once your infusion is done, you can leave the infusion center and continue your daily activities.
Vyepti is used to prevent migraine headaches in adults.
What side effects may I see with Vyepti?
In studies, the most common side effects that occurred in at least 2 out of every 100 patients (2%) were common cold symptoms like stuffy nose and scratchy throat and allergic reactions. Vyepti is typically well tolerated, with less than 2% of patients dropping out of research studies due to a side effect.
Allergic reactions were not frequent in research studies. In studies on over 2,000 patients, 1% to 2% of patients had an allergic reaction (also called a hypersensitivity reaction).
