How often can I use it?
Clobex (clobetasol propionate) is a super-high potent topical (used on the skin) corticosteroid available as a spray, lotion and shampoo. Use Clobex Lotion exactly as your doctor tells you to use it.
Clobex Spray 0.05%: Spray directly on to the affected skin area twice a day and rub in gently.
Clobex Lotion 0.05%: Apply directly on to the affected skin area twice a day and rub in gently.
Clobex Shampoo 0.05%: Apply onto a dry (not wet) scalp once a day.
Clobex (clobetasol propionate) 0.05% is a super-high potent topical corticosteroid available as a spray, lotion and shampoo. Clobex Spray is used to treat plaque psoriasis on the skin and Clobex Shampoo is used for scalp psoriasis. Clobex Lotion is approved to treat the redness, swelling and itching associated with certain skin conditions (known as corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses), such as atopic dermatitis (eczema) and plaque psoriasis.
Clobex is only for topical use in people 18 years of age and older. Do not exceed the dose that your doctor prescribes due to a risk of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression. HPA axis suppression can lead to side effects such as high blood sugar, unmasking of diabetes, and Cushing's syndrome, among others.
Clobex should not be used on the face, groin or axillae (underarms). Keep out of the eyes and away from the lips. Use only in the affected area, and rinse fully with water if Clobex should get in area other than the treatment area.
