Before transitioning to Invega Hayfera, a person must have been administered Invega Sustenna for at least 4 months or Invega Trinza for at least one three-month cycle and tolerated either of them well.

Switching from Invega Sustenna to Invega Hayfera

For a seamless transition, it is recommended that the last two doses of Invega Sustenna are the same dosage strength. Start Invega Hayfera up to 7 days before, on, or 7 days after the day the next 1-month Invega Sustenna dose was due. The following dosage guide is recommended by the manufacturer:

  • If the last dose of Invega Sustenna was 156 mg, then initiate Invega Hayfera at 1092 mg
  • If the last dose of Invega Sustenna was 234 mg, then initiate Invega Hayfera at 1560 mg.
  • Invega Hafyera should be administered once every 6 months by a health care professional into either the deltoid muscle of the arm or the gluteal muscle of the buttocks.

Switching from Invega Trinza to Invega Hayfera

Start Invega Hayfera up to 2 weeks before, on, or 2 weeks after the next 3-monthly Invega Trinza dose was due. The following dosage guide is recommended by the manufacturer:

  • If the last dose of Invega Trinza was 546 mg, then initiate Invega Hayfera at 1092 mg
  • If the last dose of Invega Trinza was 819 mg, then initiate Invega Hayfera at 1560 mg.
