Our tester Aaron* had positive thoughts about the Hims website: “It’s very intuitive, with numerous directional and navigational elements that were very clear about what health issue I could address by selecting different options, and the [writing] across the website is very easy to read and spot.”
However, when using the mobile version of the site, Aaron mentioned that “I found that the [text] could be difficult to read in its entirety when long paragraphs were cut off or content couldn’t all fit together on a single page.
“This became an issue when I needed to make selections during my initial consultation request questionnaire and was worried that I’d accidentally select an option (which automatically makes you go to the next question) while scrolling down to view all of my response options.”
After a lengthy questionnaire, our tester was recommended Hims Hard Mints tadalafil (generic for Cialis). He noted that the questionnaire felt very long and didn’t indicate how many questions he’d have to answer, which almost made Aaron abandon the questionnaire after about 10 to 15 questions.
And although our tester found Hims easy to use and intuitive, Aaron felt that the website was large and prominent. Since he was shopping on the Hims site on his mobile phone in public, he felt somewhat uncomfortable that someone might see what he was browsing from a distance and kept his back to a wall.

His first impressions weren’t promising: “The initial landing page felt like the sort of traditional ED site that pushes product on you with very obvious and overwhelming discounts, badges, and promises that feel inauthentic, like picking up an ED supplement at a gas station,” Aaron said.
But as Aaron began filling out the standard questionnaire to determine which product would be recommended, he appreciated the thoroughness of the questionnaire and the amount of detail he was asked to provide for several questions, including what medications he currently takes.
Aaron felt more comfortable sharing his email and personal information with Rex MD, as the requests to create an account were timed more logically with the flow of the questionnaire. “I felt that they truly wanted to learn about my needs before gathering a lot of information from me.”
